"playing for Man Utd is a different kettle of fish, as we all know.. the scrutiny..."
Do you think after 20 years of not winning the league Sky might stop trotting this line out? Or maybe 30..

Re: General Transfer Thread
Newcastle apparently had a £50m bid for Strand-Larson rejected today.
Wolves bought him for £27m after the end of his loan spell last season so would be some profit!
Good player, kind of what Newcastle need but not sure his ceiling is all that high and I wouldn't be paying more than that for him if I were them.

Caught my eye at Celta Vigo. Think his stats are more impressive than he is on the eye in a similar way that Wissa is.
Not sure what the plan is at Wolves

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Newcastle come after Beto at the rate they’re desperately after a striker

Re: General Transfer Thread
Looking at how much they’re bidding for Strand Larsen, I think Barry is going to be one of the steals of this window.StirlingBlue wrote: ↑Mon Aug 25, 2025 6:33 pm Wouldn’t be surprised to see Newcastle come after Beto at the rate they’re desperately after a striker
Re: General Transfer Thread
I was thinking about Barry last night and how we've picked up a tall young striker from La Liga who got double figures for relative peanuts.
Obviously still raw but looking at how much premier league strikers cost we've got a total bargain and it wouldn't take much to flip him for double or triple in a few years.
Think it's a great piece of business.

Think Barry will turn out to be good business.
