Fully expecting his injury to be gone for the Villa match.

Interesting months ahead. Moyes not known for getting the best out of strikers but hard to imagine he'll be as starved as he was under Dyche. Bit of a revival, few goals and a new contract signed in March?

Or continuing to be a bit crap and gone in the summer?

Bit better service and a new creator behind him I reckon 8/10 goals by the end of the season

Moyes always did love a striker to be running channels and doing nearly everything besides trying to score. So DCL won't find much of a difference.

To be fair though, Moyes does have the nouse to play to the strengths of players. So we may see a winger/full back come in who actually has an idea where the byline is so we're able to pull crosses back to Dom on the reg

Don’t see much changing in terms of level of performance or the way he’s used by the manager.

Maybe moyes will find a way to get better crosses in but other than that I don’t see much change.

We need someone working effectively off of his knockdowns, whether running beyond DCL to get a shot of their own or picking up the ball in front of the defense and playing someone in so that DCL can get into the box and make himself a target sooner in the move.

In some way yes it'll still be direct to the big man footy, but I don't remember our strikers being massively isolated under Moyes so if we can get players close to him it'll be a lot more effective and hopefully less soul destroying for DCL.

Beto is more of a goal threat than Dom at the moment. Unless we sell Beto I think Moyes will use him as the main striker.

Broja injured, Chermiti injured. Both who I rate more highly than Dom too.

And given the chance I'd sign a new striker. Not a fan of this seasons Dom at all.

Dom our 4th choice striker? Not sure I agree with that.

Sacrificed on the alter of Dyche's ego. I know he's been off but they say strikers are confidence players...his must be wrecked doing what he's had to do.

Not sure we'll see him again personally, if I was Moyes I'd be asking for one last dance. Ideal Channel Runner, and in contrast to the role he played for dyche which was like orbital drop signal marker, he'll feel much more involved.

Less isolated, more involved but not necessarily used massively different to before. I would expect to see a bigger upturn in his assists under Moyes than his goals, particularly. He’ll still be the target man, winning and holding up but with more midfielders crashing the box when he does.

Some semblance of occasional service should also see him happier to do the donkey work for the team.

If others can chip in with the goals, it’ll lessen the pressure on him. I see him snatching at most half-chances.

DCL will be our main striker under moyes tactics coaching
he will get so much more service than he got under dyche
easier to score when the ball is played to feet rather than waist high or 40 foot in the air

If nothing else he’ll at least be less lonely during the match as there will be teammates closer than twenty yards away

I think DCL will be 'injured' until the window closes.
