Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
We need 1 white, square post for future generations to stand behind and marvel.

Found it quiet emotional watching the stones getting put down. The messages for those passed and their connection to the club is quite special I think. I've got one for me and my son, so knowing a piece of me is there for him as he builds his connections feels good.

Got one for pops, can't wait to see it, he'd have loved it

I didn't think I would be, and it's not who I thought I was, but going to find this stone is up there with the thing I'm looking forward most to when the stadium opens
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Drove past on the way home last night after we took some final photos outside Goodison
I've been following this build pretty closely over the past 3/4 years, and know it pretty intimately from a drone's eye. However I don't think I was quite prepared for the scale of it in real life.
I love the way that Goodison - and even the sad monstrosity Anfield has become - tease slowly into view among the terraced houses and the trees of Stanley Park.
But as soon as you turn down Boundary Street, BMD immediately looms into sight and commands your attention. It epitomises the vision of something other worldly being dropped into a time and place that provides the viewer with both the shock of the contrast of the roof to it's surroundings, yet also the comfort of the lower brick structure growing from the docklands.
Then closer up, even from the road the stadium seems to hangs over you with a presence that the vertical cladding of Goodison no longer achieves. There's a power and a confidence about the whole site, and in particular I love the cut of the South stand and the way it almost salutes down the river.
As soon as you see it you can tell it is going to draw in the sponsors, the commercial opportunities, the players, the next generation of Evertonians. There's a very exciting future on the way for us.

It blew me away when I went down there in October.
As difficult as leaving Goodison is I don’t have any worries about the new stadium. Fill it full of blues and it will be an unbelievable place to be. I get the feeling that we haven’t fully processed how big this is going to be for us.

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
My sister talked me into getting one of these for our dad for his bday. She got it all boxed off and considered adding our names on but thought nah it’s a gift it would be nice for him to have a thing.
She makes a big thing of showing him what we got and he’s like “oh thanks. That’s nice. I’ve already got myself one though”.
Dads eh.
