Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
One of whom will hopefully be gone, one is a kid and injured and the other is well, a bit cack. Given DCLs injury record we need to do something, admittedly it absolutely wont be a £10m 28 year old, but we need to do somethingStirlingBlue wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2024 9:36 am …and this is why fans aren’t in charge.
We have four strikers on the books, absolutely 0 chance we should be spending 10m on a 28 year old striker

Think Ndiaye can play up front as well. I know people will say he’s not big enough for a Dyche 9 and Maupay didn’t work as he wasn’t a big man. But confident Ndiaye has enough about him to make it work at a push

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
A fit Tierney would be a great signing but his injury record is horrendous
Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
Big fan but not sure with his injuries over the years. Would offer more going forward than Myko but I don't think we need two international left backs when we're short in other areas.

Not excited by it but not doom and gloom about it either, still a couple of holes we need to fill, not sure if we have the money to sort them out.
While lots of deadwood and a need for money with Onana have been sold. Would have liked Keane, Holgate, Maupay and IF he’s not going to sign an extension then Calvert-Lewin moved on. But there doesn’t seem to be strong suiters for them, so they go towards the end of the window giving us not much time maybe even finance to replace.
Understand the point made about the defence, based on last season, not being priority with what little we did have to spend.
Like the younger profile of the players brought in and not hugely expensive.
Still the biggest worry for me is goals.
8/10 for me. I like the type of signings we’re making. We seemed to have learned lessons, albeit we have been forced to somewhat, but young, cheap ballers with potential is exactly what we have been wanting for a long time.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
I think we've had a great window given our limitations. We've spent more than I thought we would and we seem to have got decent value and players who there might be a profit in long term
Can't really mark us down for not signing more when the money is limited or not selling shite like Holgate when we are paying him 3.5m a season and he's crap in the championship

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
Had a fantastic season last year by all accounts, but his injury record rivals DCL. I'd take him on loan with no obligation to buy but we can't be locking ourselves in to a permanent deal.
