His best game so far, put in a noticeable shift in too even if he and Patterson did have some teething troubles at times.

He should be getting plenty of playing time as the season progresses, although it's still a tough bar to get in ahead of Grealish and Ndiaye when they're both fit. Either way though, hopefully most can see the potential now.

Lots of exciting things shown tonight, but also the weaknesses too in terms of his anticipation of what might happen, especially defensively. But all part of bringing him up to speed and bedding him in, the talent is clearly special.

On the ball he's brilliant, he'll learn the defensive side under Moyes amd take notice from Jack.

£34.6m must be seeming more and more reasonable as the minutes stack up.

It was the defensive side that impressed me. Showed he's not a liability in that position. Think Hinchcliffe's commentary early on was harsh because no winger is perfect defensively for 90 minutes and it's not like he had an experienced head behind him at RB.

Even when he was being slated for a defensive mistake, it was in that same situation where he picked up the loose ball, dribbled past two players and earned the freekick to take the pressure off the team. That's quality play.

Technical quality is no doubt and he can run past players even if he's not blistering quick. The signs are good.

I’m not worried about a 19 year old winger/attacking midfielder who doesn’t defend well yet. That will come with experience.

You pretty much can’t buy what he offers on the open market. He always seems to find a way to keep the ball even when the pass is terrible or it seems like he’s being crowded out by too many defenders.

City will be buying him for £100m once he starts turning that into goals and assists. Hopefully, we’ll be good enough to resist but that’s where this is headed.

He’s willing for now and that’s enough. If he’s willing, he’ll learn in time.

Only 19. If he cares about being the best he can be and works at it, he’s going to be a monster.

Wonder if he'll stay out wide most of his career like Grealish, or move more central.

Has elite ball retention ability and can pick a pass.

Think he might be deceptively quicker than he appears. A different gate to most, which helps him control the ball, doesn't really open his legs and run when he's on the move.

Looks a lot taller than I thought he was too.

We have some decent height in the squad now, with both Dibling and Armstrong 6’1” and Rohl 6’2”. Even Tim is over 6ft.

Some big young physical lads.

Sucks players in, creating space for others with simple passes. You can see so many similarities with Grealish in that respect. Ticked a box tonight, could do with a really good rightback to play behind him and bring the best out of him going forward.

I thought it was a really good showing without any massive highlights.

The way he can keep the ball and find his man is top top quality and really helped us tonight. Think he enjoyed playing close to Tim.

When he opened up once or twice you can see how well he can beat a man 1v1.

Im putting my chips in. I'm convinced.

I'm absolutely made up for him. Can't wait to see him improve and get a good run in the team

Reckon it will still be stops and starts after January which is a shame, but then again Moyes seems to be a 'perform and keep the shirt' kind of manager.

Edit: Can fill in at AM and striker too based on his history. And CM...🤔
