This guy! 😂

His over-animation and constant gesticulating and ever-busy facial expressions, coupled with his stilted, dramatic delivery really irked me at first. I think it was the Tarkowski interview the first time I saw him. But even then, I liked him because of his warmth, passion and humour.

This is the second interview I’ve watched and he has totally won me over. He’s a very unique individual and in the days where the mainstream media are so predictable that we could all write the post-match press conference every week, it’s refreshing to see someone who can probe subjects for illuminating insights that we genuinely want to hear and care about.

More power to him.

Could THIS be the best version of Moyes. The man we had before but with Max XP points…

Always wanted to see Moyes here again but with proper, competent owners and money to spend, instead of having to generate his own spends
He'll probably still be thrifty it's his nature, but he'll be able to treat himself now and then.

It would be nice not to be expecting to be a relegation candidate every season.

You look at his West Ham side who conceded seventy two goals and think how is that possible - but then again you look at our Dyche side and think how is that possible.

Reality is that momentum is massive, when it goes bad it can start to spiral and a break to a new manager breaks it

This is why we've not got to get ahead of ourselves.

We're like an emotional yoyo after a streak of losses, or a lossless run.

Meh, we've got a rock solid defence and we've barely kept a clean sheet under Moyes, I don't think it's that much of a surprise that they conceded 72 goals under him considering their defenders have always looked pretty average at best.

West Ham were terrible in their last two seasons under moyes in the league.

Certainly had a squad of players better than what they showed.

That’s still in the back of my mind but as bad as they were they still finished 9th and won a trophy so he knows how to get results over performances.

Useful comparison West Ham net spend, which was 8th highest during his time.

Compare that spend to the clubs above and its about half. It's clear the toll of European football can take on a squad when the team goes deep in a competition. Hence 14th and 9th isn't a great surprise when your squad isn't equipped to battle on multiple fronts.

We have 2 clean sheets in 8 games under DM 25%
We had 7 clean sheets in 19 games under SD 37%

We've scored 15 goals in 8 games under DM 1.85 gpc
We scored 15 goals in 19 games under SD 0.79 gpc

So we've more than doubled our goals per game with only a 30% reduction in clean sheets. It's a really good trade off, with a bit better game management after 60 minutes in, when we have more bench options, I think we'll tighten up at the back.

Have we had a nomination since Moyes was last here? Martinez first season maybe?

Dyche won it last April.

Ancelotti also won one.
