Can't imagine the 2nd punishment can be as big as the first given we've stopped spending now

I'm thinking 6 and 4 for the second charge with forest getting 6 too. Right now that might be an okay result
Surely what Forest get depends on how much they’ve breached it by?

We get 6 for £20m over the first time?

They get 6 even if they’re £80m over?

Was saying this when the second our second breach was announced. Won’t be surprised in the slightest for our total deduction to end up as 10 points combined. Forest will be tough to predict since they gained sporting advantage with their spend.

Sporting advantage is somewhat irrelevant though.

They made a rod for their own back saying 6 for the breach then 1 for every £5m up to a maximum of 12 points.

The only thing you turn up to these "independent" boards with is excuses/reasons why £Xm shouldn't be counted towards p&s deficit.

Unsecured loans we say are for the stadium but not taken out for it, not wanting to sell players for less than they're worth. COVID. We tried it all and got most of it agreed with, to be fair.

Just need to wait to see if:

- the bits we didn't get away with dropped off in the accounts 3 years ago.
- Forests main excuse is the 'not selling players for less than they're worth'. Because we set precedent to say that's not a reasonable line.

Does anybody remember when Spurs had that points deduction? Year we won the FA cup I think - 95.

Every published league table had a little asterisk after Tottenham Hotspur and then a little note at the bottom reminding everyone that the points on the board weren't reflective of their wins/draws.

Does anybody follow any news media that's doing that for us? Cause the BBC isn't. Nor is anywhere else I can see.

I don't remember this at all, what did they get a points deduction for?

12 points, fined half a million quid and kicked out the FA cup for "financial irregularities" in the 80s.

I was only 12 at the time, so had no real idea about the ins and out at the time.
Sure the points deduction was reduced and they were allowed back in the cup (well, they deffo were as we beat them at Elland road in the semis)

How can the Premier League think it is ok to give out a points deduction AFTER the season has ended, especially when there is no way of even knowing how many points they are going to deduct.

What if we then appeal that points deduction? Will that then stray into the following season?

The whole thing is a God damn mess because of the Premier Leagues lack of transparency and procedural logic

The deduction will be given by the end of April. The appeal won't be until after the season ends.

If there's a genuine maximum when dealing with such low numbers in football terms that's mental. Why wouldn't Newcastle just spend 3 billion and take 12pts a season for 3 years and then in 3 years time be an elite team

Infact they'd probably still qualify for champions league each year even with 12 points

It's so weird I have no recollection of this... I was 15 at the time and massively in to football. My first Mandela Effect moment!

It vaguely rings a bell after it was mentioned. I think they ended up back in the cup and with all their points back

Remember when utd and arsenal lost points for fighting
