Re: January transfer window
Its not just footballers, the population in general are just fucking horrible nowadays.Cods wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 12:31 am One thing he said, paraphrasing: 'the right kind of players as people', really stood out for me. Maybe there's the talent and the cash lined up, but not the mental makeup he's looking for, like Cahill/Jags/Arteta types, not supremely gifted, but good mentally.
Maybe more footballers are just tools these days, and the full package is even harder to find. Or perhaps maybe they're more professional with the extra things they learn, classes, psychological help etc. Not sure.
We see the skills/physical stuff, but little of the interpersonal human stuff in media and elsewhere, which seems to be Moyes' area of expertise, these sorts of synergies he extracts and enhances.
Might also mean he's here focusing on a longer term squad culture focus, a longer term vision...

According to the toffeetv heads he said no to Nuamah.
Personally think nuamah could be a top player, and clearly the dof likes him, but Moyes had a look and was like nah.

Re: January transfer window
i watched a short documentary on him a while back he thought he was like a god when he went to real madrid and lost his head
years later he has sorted his head out and i believe he is a or at least was a mental health nurse or something along the lines and is a really humble guy now from what ive heard
so fair play to him
