The manager, the CEO, people who work behind the scenes all british. Exceptionally boring.

I think the final stretch of last season has somewhat understandably colored the perception of this squad too much.

These players picked up a lot of points last season despite never really fully clicking, partly due to lack of quality in certain parts of the squad and partly due to overly conservative management.

I think you’d be crazy to EXPECT Europe because there is so much downside potential but we are absolutely not that far off. It still depends on getting the rest of recruitment right (especially right back but I think we can do more with the midfield and centre forward, as well) and Moyes finding the right balance within the squad but we’re right there. The midtable clubs are so close that anyone can rise to the top of the pack in any given season.

At this point in time, mid table is where we will be.

We need high quality signings to come in before the window closes to change my opinion.

If we can get a quality right back (yeah right), Grealish on loan and something a little left field that works out well, then of course European football is possible. But I just don’t see it.

I think I've worked out what the Friedkin's strategic plan to avoid the restrictions having both their teams in Europe was.

Tank, and allow 24-36 months to accrue enough revenue and time to build a squad for Everton capable enough of playing in it and achieving something.

In the interim, work on a legal entity separation that would allow both clubs to enter the same competition if they happen to qualify for same.

I think right now it's too difficult to judge, we have a decent crop of young players that if the manager played we might see some real progress with their development, and a few shrewd signings and good outgoings could see us a completely different proposition.

But equally we could go in to the new season with no right back, Moyes not playing the younger players, and Beto doing his usual Sunday league player impression for 6 months.

Dont think the club has done anything to give us huge expectations for the new season.

And I agree with you - its too british and too old fashioned. You might be correct with 13th but this team does have the potential to go down too. Quality of players in the squad is far from a top half team - so avoiding relegation and exceeding this will all be down to the mentality and confidence the 1-0 victories may give them. I have no belief in Moyes developing this team and to be fair to him - this is not a group of very talented players. Its incredible where we ended up last season.

I have voted mid-table but think we are in danger of being in a relegation fight if the end of season form continues.
Grealish papered over the cracks to a large extent. Its too early to say and depends on who else we get in the door before the window shuts.
