Re: Everton v Man United
There’s just no need for Pickford to hoof that there, he had all the time in the world and it just loses possession
Re: Everton v Man United
We don't inspire much do we. Feels like Ndiaye is always 25 yards from an Everton player.

Re: Everton v Man United
So short of pace. Barry is shite, but the other option is just as bad but bigger. Get George on and attack them

Re: Everton v Man United
Absolutely terrible refereeing again.
Little kopite garner playing well.
Armstrong isn't a fucking winger Moyes. Idiot.
Put George on and get a bit of width in the team.

Re: Everton v Man United
Pathetic.
Boring.
Classless.
Tasteless.
Thoughtless.
He'll just lash Beto on at 66 mins and McNeil for Armstrong on 85.
Get Patterson and George on.
Come on, at least try.

Long time reader of this forum and first time poster! (I remember when the whole site went down / AWOL for a little bit and no other forum like this!)
Anyway. In short, long time Everton fan (since mid 80s as a nipper) and recognise our peaks and troughs throughout this time. More recently, the last few years have been a real drain (threat of relegation and extremely scrappy play) and Moshpit era not helping one bit either. For these past 4-5 years (or arguably since Ancelloti left), our play and watching thereof, has been like your first driving lesson with you kid - a non-stop nervous occassion fearing everytime the opposition attacked.
This season? I'm far more comfortable watching...and don't fear a loss every game.
What's changed? Yes, the stadium and us spening a few bob in the summer, but I really believe good things are on horizon. With 3-4 more solid windows (and not spending like no tomorrow, but investing gains from commercial and potential sales) should put us in a strong position.
Why the post? Just to say watching Everton (today vs United) is far far more enjoyable than it used to be. We can't go from seasons around 16th to 18th up to top 6 in a season (name one team who has and who has remained there in the past 15 years?) but I, for one, would settle for 7th to 10th with a chance for Europe if we get some right results.
Up the toffees and thanks for my game check in for 'how the fans really feel' about the game / season / players.
A great forum

Re: Everton v Man United
Stopped them playing and generally looked solid, but numerous times we had Armstrong either trying to dribble in the final third or the only option in a good position to pass to.
Swap him for George and we would have the ability to hurt them so much more. Just the sheer fact of having a CM out wide has completely blunted any threat we could have had.

Re: Everton v Man United
Really hard to get motivated by this team. Think I’m still exhausted from the last few years.
I mean, if we actually played decent footy and scored a few goals I could get back on board.

Re: Everton v Man United
We offer nothing at all from wide areas. Still not a bad result if it stays this way. COYB!

Re: Everton v Man United
We still by and large have some very very average players in this side. Two more summers of player churn until we can actually build out a decent side including squad depth.
