Who do want Rooney, Beale, get Duncan and Unsworth back, maybe we could get Lampard in until the end of the season? I posted a link recently that showed the new manager bounce is largely a myth especially for clubs nearer the bottom of the table but that's all you're basing your argument on, it's just a massive knee jerk reaction. Constantly sacking managers is part of the reason we're in this mess. We're sitting net 12th on 30 points with a squad that's largely battled relegation the last two years, he's not world class and has his flaws but under the circumstances he's worked miracles with all the distraction that are going on.
Ian Beale?

He's not like keane, but he's a liability in a different way. Looks miles off it when against a semi decent winger, doesn't show great awareness of what's around him and hasn't really shown anything going forward, especially in the final third.

I don't think he's prem standard honestly.

Just about the manager with players like that. If Klopp had Patterson then he'd be a hell of a player already.

Has Dyche ever gone for that type of full-back in his 10+ years of management? He was at Burnley for 10 years and chose to go with Erik Pieters and Conor Roberts after moving on from Matt Lowton and Steven Ward.

Had a lot of success with Trippier didn't he, can't recall exactly how he used him other than deep switches from RB but he was a fantastic fullback who racked up lots of assists.

Yeah that's one, though he'd already been there a couple of seasons and racking up the assists playing every week before Dyche got there. I'd be interested to know if Dyche is ever actually bought an attacking right back because he did replaced Trippier with Lowton.

Isn’t that just what it’s like managing Burnley?

Look at them now with a so called progressive manager.

His record at developing young defenders is very good.

Well there's absolutely no guarantee that's the case, every chance he'd have been shipped out on loan for a couple of seasons and then flogged for a healthy profit.

Even if he got games he'd be doing so in a very good team with other players shouldering most of the burden which would be a completely different environment to develop in.

Think this is a bit of a weird shout tbh.

Patterson the latest player to get better with each game he doesn't play.

Awful defensively and offers nowhere near enough going forward to compensate for that.

Has done absolutely nothing to warrant such statements... Not a fan of Godfrey at RB by any means but Patterson hasn't shown anything that makes him deserve that spot more.

Based on what though honestly?

Don't really rate him much at all and especially at full back but think Godfrey has done alright the last few games.
