Always loved Dom, I never bought it to the 'phoning it in' mindset, found it laughable in fact... Always put his body on the line, always gave his best often at detriment to his physical wellbeing.

I think the moment some fans kicked off at him for getting injured again (think he broke his cheekbone) was the end unfortunately, think he'd been well loved before that and he reciprocated that love, but it soured things for both sides.

There was a time where he was bagging for us and scoring for England... It was a short but very sweet time. Unfortunately he never came back the same player post injury, and working under Dyche didn't help him one bit.

I think he will end up on the bench somewhere decent enough, he probably knows his body can't handle starting week in week out so he'd prefer 20 mins at the end of the match or an occasional start over playing every game at a newly promoted club.

If that doesn't happen somewhere easier like MLS might be a good option.

Whatever happens I wish him all the best.

Might re join Sheff United.
So you think our terms werent good enough but a club in a lower division will have outbid us.

Will genuinely miss him.

Evertonians deserve a target man that can hang in the air and bully defenders. He came so close to being a great but for a couple of reasons couldn't get there.

With him all the best and hope he smashes it somewhere - seems like a thoroughly decent bloke.

Amongst the all time greatest ever photographs of the club.

(Was a few from around that time. The sunset with the scoreboard. Richy and the flare. The dog!)

This one though. The more I look at it the more I realise just how much the club means to me.

See yer Dom.

Will be surprised if he’s playing at a high level in the next couple of years.

Suits us a lot more than it suits him that we’ve parted ways.

Not so much but I don't think he'll get decent offers really wherever he goes.

I can't help but be sad as I really like the bloke and he's delivered some great and key moments. But for the salary he's on, his injury record and his ineffectiveness in front of goal when he has played, it's absolutely the right for the club.

Intrigued as to where he will go next. Serie A would make sense in my head, I reckon he'd do well over there.

He's not in great bargaining position, everyone will know roughly what he's turned down or how much he's wanting but he doesn't appear to have a lot of options to get clubs upping the offers to secure him or get a bidding war going.

So with DCL gone, The Cherminator looking likely to go out on loan.

On the presumption that Barry signs, how would everyone feel about Beto and an untested Barry as our striking options next season?

Can't help but maybe feel we need a 3rd striker in on top of those 2.

I sort of said this months ago on a different thread that he was painting himself into a corner.
With his poor finishing and awful injury record i honestly don't know where he goes from here.
I can't see any of the top clubs touching him and certainly not giving him top wages.
Maybe one of the promoted clubs will latch on to him, and who knows a new start could get him up and running again.
I wish him well, but i'm glad this is now resolved and he's leaving, it really was appalling value we were getting for what we were paying him.
Good luck to him.

A real shame he had his injury problems, especially at key moments when we were regressing after the Ancelotti period.

At £1.5m he was probably one of the best buys of the Moshiri period. Good luck to him wherever he goes, hopefully he can resurrect his career somewhere. I'd quite like to see that happening abroad.
