So I'd assume, going forward now. The penalty is 6 points for breaching.
So if us and forest get 6 for the next bout we should be OK.
I assume it’ll be scaled to how significant the breach is. Giving the same for £1M over and £20M over would be harsh. And probably see clubs just say “fuck it - if we a £1 over let’s spend even more”

So... Any chance we can have an explanation as to why we received 10 originally and how they've come to 6 this time?
Happy to have some back though, changes things a bit... Let's hope the second charge doesn't equal the same amount again as that would just plunge us in to the relegation zone.
Only into relegation if Forest are charged less than us. If their charge is equal to ours then we remain out of the relegation zone.
This is a good outcome overall, would have liked more obviously but gives us a very good chance of survival even with a 2nd potential deduction coming.

I was thinking along the lines that now they have reduced ours to 6 then 6 will be the precedent going forward for breaches.
Forest case is a little different to ours as one of those 3 years was spent in the championship and 2 in the PL, so different guidelines.
But you're right, I don't know the full depth of Forest case so it could be worse.
On balance I think that's about what we were expecting, so can't be too unhappy.
Just nice to see something vaguely positive, which hopefully might give the players and the crowd a lift for Saturday to get a win on top of the 4 pts back and really use the momentum to move away from trouble.
Psychologically it's a big thing as well and despite recent woes we've still only lost one in our last six games which puts us on a better run than everyone below us bar Luton and it puts Forest and Brentford in a poor position now as well. We need to start turning draws into wins but hopefully this gives us a big lift into the West Ham game who are on a terrible run at the moment.

How will we be ok?
It's all up in the air until we know the outcome of the second charge but as it stands now if we got another six points and so did Forest then we still wouldn't be in the bottom three. Unless we get another big hit and it sticks then we're 12 ahead of Sheff Utd and Burnley and Forest will likely get the same/more than us. Right now it's very much in our own hands even if we get another 6 point deduction.
