It always feels like we are fairly easy to play through.
There was too much space for them in between our defence and midfield. Saw it time and time again on Sunday.

We need a sitter there asap, imho

Probably like a 3. The defence is still a bigger worry than people think. We battered Wolves at the weekend and were lucky not to concede 3. Brighton should have had a couple too.

Not signing a RB (to also free up O'Brien) was quite silly imo.

My relegation fears have eased completely.

In a world where we dont get a solitary injury, red card or player leaving for AFCON, then we mount a serious push into those Europa league spots.
In the real world however, i'm thinking we may scrape the conference.

My flap levels have evaporated though. Conference league may not be sufficient to keep up the momentum this window has brought us (in terms of recruitment). But i can see something that looks like a plan for the future mixed with a bit of pragmatism. So high-fives all around i think.

No worry about relegation but my flaps will still open for business in the dark days over Winter when we have a defensive injury crisis and AFCON.

Definitely think we're looking at 8th - 10th this season, outside push for 7th a possibility.

An RB really would have finished things off nicely, but we may well benefit long term from JOB getting loads of minutes there this season when he seamlessly slots in to CB next season in place of Tarks, or possibly Branthwaite if we sell him to balance the books.

JOB will definitely be a better CB for playing RB over an 18 month period, so I'm willing to accept him playing there for now.

I think it’s way too soon so say we are going for Europe or even top ten.
It’s been a decent window and a good last 3 games after a shocking opener.
Give it another couple of months to see if it continues I think.
I do feel safe from relegation but that’s about it

Yeah, that's where i am pitching, but with a (new for me) side of optimism i am trying to bury deep-down so i dont feel a fool when the wheels come off

Too many see us sitting in 5th and naturally think top 8 here we come . It's early days, judge us after 10 games then the halfway stage . No reason why we can't do a Forest, but would need a lot of factors to be in our favour. Top ten for me .

First two league games could have gone either way and we conceded silly goals when well on top at the weekend.
Not flapping but I think between 5th and 8th is extremely optimistic.

Re: Flap Levels

solid shout for top 10 IMO, and with a fair wind and a bit of luck then maybe a low european spot

id have liked a RB too, but we do actually have JOB, Seamus, Patterson, and Garner who can all do a job there (to some degree or other), and perhaps we address that in january anyway.

Id be fairly sure that afer the expenditure of this window that branthwaite will have to go next summer, so more minutes for JOB are crucial anyway, wherever that is

The new phenomenon of actually having goals in the side means we dont always have to be perfect at the back to nick games and, while Id like us to be just as solid as we have been (and think we will get there anyway with JBs return and a few more games), Im cool with where it is

Plus let’s see how we do when we lose Ndiaye and Gana for a month in December/January.

I actually am relaxed about this, pending seeing how t-dibby and Merlin stack up, theyve got 4 months to ease in and be ready, it "ought" to be fine

everyones talking like we are the only ones losing key players to the AFCON which, of course, we arent
