It'll be interesting to see whether we fight the second charge.

What's clear from the first charge is that, as BD said earlier, we naively went into it thinking that cooperation would be enough. That basically hamstrung us for this appeal because we could only argue fairness rather than guilt.

If we keep Rabinowitz for the second charge then I wouldn't be surprised if we win the case.

I'm hoping the players can kick on now and we get safe. Still smells fishy to me, but seeing 25 on the board is good
They have said that any points penalty given will be applied to this season which is ridiculous as any appeal would take place during the close season.

Surely we have to keep him. Surely?

Does anyone know by any chance the exact figures of what Forest have gone over by?

So is that the same for us, I thought our hearing was April 8th but sounds more like we'll know the outcome by April 8th?

We play 6 times before April 8th.

18 points to play for.

Put a good chunk of points on the board between now and then and hopefully we won't have to worry about the deduction, providing forest get whacked as well.

The 9 for administration and it not exceeding that is going to end up being a massive problem. It's a deterent to teams going over by 10 or 20m but certainly not for a team going over by a billion. All city's charges are really just trying to hide the fact they've gone over. They wouldn't hide it if the punishment was a maximum of 9 points. It actually makes ffp powerless to people wanting to buy their way onto the top table

I'd be mortified if it got moved to next year. Much better teams coming up than going down.

Take it this year. See the back of Forest or Luton and then aim for a 40+ point season next year with no deductions

You'd think so. I was thinking the doubt would come from his side!

Nobody has been able to explain to me why we are being charged twice within the same season. Yes, I understand the charges are to do with a rolling 3-year period, but surely if we have been penalised for years ABC in 23/24, then we should next be penalised for years BCD in 24/25, and so on. No?

The least that Moshiri owes us as a parting gift is paying this geezer to stay on for that

So, because it took so long to charge us, the PL decided it was unfair to teams that were relegated to then hand out a points deduction the following season. As such, the Autumn gone they changed the rules that books need to be submitted by the end of Jan and a decision will be taken before the end of the year and points deducted in the same season.

It is just unfortunate that we happened to get punished under the old timelines at the same time they changed the rules to ensure this seasons breach is punished in the same season.

We should have been penalised for ABC last season, the Premier League are making it up as they go along but nobody in the media seems to care enough to point it out.

It will probably benefit us that it's happening like this but it highlights their incompetence.
