Walkers still a good player, again a little worried about another older player linked but happy to judge the bigger picture on what else we do

I'm not really bothered of it's him, the other Kyle Walker or some other freebie, because none will be long term planning and only a stop gap until we can spend again next summer. It's all a much of a muchness at the end of the day.

I'm actually surprised we're even looking at one tbh as expected we'd go in to the season with JOB, Patterson and Garner as the RB candidates so imo any of the freebies linked would be an improvement over that selection.
Hang on how do you know what Peps moral standards are?

We know Moyes to a degree due to 10 plus years but if say you have no idea about Pep and what he accepts?

Depends on the rest of the tactics - if we get a RW who wants to stay high and wide then he’s a fine defensive fullback and adds an extra big lad at set pieces - ultimately we’re still gonna be a Moyes side so a decent amount of set piece goals will be part of it.

Where we really need a modern fullback is LB who can overlap when Ndiaye cuts inside

I'm not talking about moral standards, I'm talking about attitude in training and the dressing room. I don't think I need to explain the anal meticulous approach Pep has to every aspect of management, I'm pretty sure you know that already?

From what I see on the tv watxhing city he is shite.

From what I hear and speak to city fans .... they had zero clue why he was being picked each week.

They also hated him towards the end.

He isn’t at the level anymore to play for city and England but is still probably good enough to play for us id say.

I’d rather we didn’t but it’s not one id be overly disappointed in.

All we can do is hold off giving him his own thread for as long as possible.

As Ram said, shite for City but they also would never dream of playing a 39 year old Ashley Young at RB or JOB as good as he's been there for a giant CB.

Not one for the future at all but ok for a year.

You never know, Pep has played four centre backs in defense plenty of times.

Different methodology, obviously, since he wants his fullbacks to tuck in, contribute to build ups similar to central midfielders, and kill counterattacks through the middle. But still.

I think he’s still better than Mykolenko but because he’s solid enough at LB then a young high ceiling talent should be targeted. Probably for the same cost as Digne. I’d take him on a free in a heartbeat but head over heart it’s a no.

We've got him as well.

James Smith (from City) is the Technical Director and this guy will be the running the Academy.
