Fucking hell calm down some of you honest to god.

We’re lucky to have him. He’s the best we can have in this situation.

If things don’t change at the club within the next year he’ll be moving on to better things and we’ll be scrapping the barrel for another rubbish manager.

It’s right there infront of everyone’s face what is happening at the club.

Doesn’t hurt to acknowledge that and say “yeah he gets things wrong but he’s holding us together”

Heads everywhere everytime we lose a game.

Be funny to see who we can get who’s better than dyche in this situation. Let’s have a half arsed Moshiri with no money pick another manager.

Yay.

Seen this movie before.

Struggle for a few weeks to open the season, find our best lineup in month two of the season, go on a solid run that takes us into upper midtable territory, run completely out of steam in April and settle somewhere 8th-11th.

Middle of the road Moyes season, right down to the preseason.

He's lucky to have us. Not a chance in hell he manages a club bigger or better than Everton in his career.

Why would anybody be giving him praise after that match? Nobody is even thinking about sacking him during this season after getting beat 3-0 at home to Brighton on the opening day which I think shows that people do recognise the size of the job at hand and have faith in him avoiding relegation with us this season. It's pretty normal to point out his dire decisions and shortcomings after a match when they've contributed significantly to us losing heavily.

Can't believe he said that...if you aren't doing well that's what happens.

Holy shit.

Sell out pretty much every home and away game. Thousands to a pre season game. Thousands to welcome the coach before a game when in a relegation battle.

It's so arrogant of him to say that. Baffling.

Yes, like he started the psychological disaster last season over Branthwaite, starting him over O’Brien yesterday because of ‘premier league experience’

Premier league experience meaning projecting anxiety through the defence, being slow and losing his head.

O’Brien played more football last season and has a similar profile to Branthwaite which would suit better next to Tarkowski.

Dyche would be dubious over Messi because he hasn’t done it on a rainy Tuesday night away at Stoke. That British exceptionalism pisses me off.

He would have started Harrison over Minteh for the same reason if he could and he would have been man of the match if it wasn’t for the concussion.

So to conclude you agree its not that he has a soft spot for Keane?

We as a fanbase seem to project an awful lot. Minteh really wasn't that great yesterday either. We tried to sign him so everyone thinks he was amazing

Just don't get it.

Also, Moyes is fucking shite as well.

Honestly there are exciting up and coming managers out there....

With the shite squad we have these so called up and coming managers are a massive risk and most would likely see us relegated

Am not over the moon by dyche by any means but he will most likely keep us up, we would most likely be be getting pumped 5-0 every week by relegation fodder while we try to play like last seasons burnley

The club is in that much of a mess financially that we would not come back from relegation, we would completely implode, where are Portsmouth these days? They still haven't recovered, Leeds aswell granted they got back to the prem but they have yo yo'ed back to the chamionship

I get ur frustration but what can we do, owner who isn't arsed, criminal takeover attempts, points deductions a Premier league who are I am pretty sure completely against us for not just falling in line after getting bitch slapped with the psr bullshit

It's a tough job with so much at stake

Sorry for long post

Sorry what's he said that's so bad? Isn't he saying he doesn't blame the fans for walking out when we are shit?

Plenty of posts on here and on social media, and around the ground wanting him gone essentially.

Just because the words “sack Sean dyche” aren’t muttered doesn’t mean we can’t read between the lines.

A points deduction, two failed takeovers, no money to spend, no owner, no support network.

I don’t see how he’s lucky to have us? I don’t think he’ll be in any rush to sign a new deal but we’ll be clamouring to have him sign if things don’t significantly improve at the club.

First game of the season and the knives are out. It’s pathetic imo.

I see we’re now at the stage of overreacting to comments in the press.

He made some errors today, but 3-0 flattered the opposition and individual mistakes, by two players who wouldn’t be playing for us if we wasn’t such a mess, contributed to the defeat.

Of course people can criticise, but is it too much to ask for a bit of objectivity? Bit of understanding?

Bit of calmness and backing of the manager so we don’t descend into chaos?

Even just on here, it gets more and more like twitter with the reactionary stuff.

I don’t see much objectivity. Just a load of petty digs

Didn't sound that way to me?

I guess people will take what they want depending on opinion on Dyche?

Do we have a shite squad??

I'm unsure if we do?

Is it such a crazy thing to say that a new manager with fresh modern ideas could get us playing well with new tactics and stuff?!

Not saying a new guy would have us winning the league but just want different to this.

Yes it’s awful

2 ancient way past their best fullbacks
1 left back that offers nothing going forwards
A bunch of CMs who can’t pass or take the ball off a defender and wouldn’t get in any other PL midfield
No wingers
A striker who’s contract is up and is in rotten form
Another striker who can’t control a ball

🤷‍♂️

Do you not think you’re being massively reactionary saying this after one game?

We finished 12th last season. With luck and injuries we can maybe push higher, but look what happens when we have a few injuries.

Why risk sacking a very solid manager who has a track record of getting results, for somebody else in the position we are in?

You can not ignore what we are as a club, how difficult it is for the manager, and how difficult it is to attract a good, young manager.

Dyche is the perfect fit for what are now. People don’t like it, I get it, but this is the reality.

Re: Dyche

I think the big one on Dyche was Keane. Everyone knew what was coming when the team sheets landed. Young is just a consequence of the clubs position that he’s in the squad. What he does next will be key. For me he has to play the kid Dixon at rb or more realistically change to 3 at back, but that means Keane again. Either way it’s risky
