New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
The division in the south stand should be painted blue, maybe with random circles of various colors (none red of course) will give it the appearance of crowd the across it.
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
As others have said, it will be either Everton branded or have sponsors slapped across it. There won't be many grey spaces come first game of the season. Got to remember it's still not finished.
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
People do need to apply common sense as well with this.
The stopping on the dock road really wasn’t an issue as it gives people the chance to go up the side street onto great Howard street and from what I’ve heard most people were in town within 25 minutes.
Same for Sandhills. It’s going to be a complete mess. If you can walk a bit further just get the train to moorfields and walk up, it’s an extra ten minutes.
I think one of the issues is very few places to go by the ground straight after the game.
I always go the pub for an hour or two after the match just so the traffic and crowds die down if nothing else.
You don’t have that here, and everyone is going through the same exits and onto the same road all at once so it’s becomes chaotic.
I worry about the long term impact of the transport issues. It was always going to be a problem and the longer it goes on the more people realise that leaving early is probably your best bet and we don’t want a half empty ground towards the end of the game.

One thing I couldn’t get my head round was the home dugout and team coming out the opposite way.
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
The noise from the goal on the stream was noticeably loud, with a half (or less than half from reading people's comments) full stadium. Can't wait to hear it when it's full.

Mad to think they never thought to provide some reinforced for the bridge.

And more money for the club.
I suppose it depends on how many people have a ‘stay behind’. Not worth keeping it all open, or even just parts open, unless it pays for itself and makes profit.

Depends which stand you’re in, for me they still come out on the right.Bluebridge wrote: ↑Mon Mar 24, 2025 5:32 am One thing I couldn’t get my head round was the home dugout and team coming out the opposite way.

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
I think he means compared to where his seat is/was in GP ? I.e at GP I am in upper Gwladys, the team comes out to my right,
at BMD I am in upper North, the team still comes out to my right but if I had gone for upper South then the team woukd be coming out the opposite way, at least that’s what I think he means ?

The licencing seems to allow for up to 1 hour of serving after a game as standard within the stadium, with the current plan for concourse bars that will stay open as standard will be South Stand level 2 and East Stand level 3. Lounges are pretty flexible, as is the plaza.Toddacelli wrote: ↑Mon Mar 24, 2025 6:52 am And more money for the club.

This solves everything imo.Trowel wrote: ↑Mon Mar 24, 2025 8:58 am The licencing seems to allow for up to 1 hour of serving after a game as standard within the stadium, with the current plan for concourse bars that will stay open as standard will be South Stand level 2 and East Stand level 3. The south stand concourse has music playing and has the great view. A lot of people will be staying there afterwards.
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Getting away from the ground was always going to be an issue. At Goodison everyone disperses in four different directions from the stands, from BMD there's only one road to leave by.
I don't know what the answer will be but I can't imagine it'll be a quick fix.

One interesting test will be how it works with away fans; wonder if they'll try that with the 3rd and final test event.
