He's lucky to have us. Not a chance in hell he manages a club bigger or better than Everton in his career.

Why would anybody be giving him praise after that match? Nobody is even thinking about sacking him during this season after getting beat 3-0 at home to Brighton on the opening day which I think shows that people do recognise the size of the job at hand and have faith in him avoiding relegation with us this season. It's pretty normal to point out his dire decisions and shortcomings after a match when they've contributed significantly to us losing heavily.

Lucky to have us?? In what ways are we a big club that benefits the manager? We don't have great scouting
We don't have a great youth system. We don't have money. Christ we don't even get to keep all the points we win

We finished 12th last season. With luck and injuries we can maybe push higher, but look what happens when we have a few injuries.

Why risk sacking a very solid manager who has a track record of getting results, for somebody else in the position we are in?

You can not ignore what we are as a club, how difficult it is for the manager, and how difficult it is to attract a good, young manager.

Dyche is the perfect fit for what are now. People don’t like it, I get it, but this is the reality.

Yeah totally get that and yes I am being very reactionary, likely because personal life is tough at the moment and I was really excited for the season coming back and having that escapism and something to focus on.

Then Dyche did a Dyche with the line up, the tactics and the subs.

Its disappointment and frustration.

I dont like Dyche, i think he is arrogant for no reason at all.

But yes of course, the club itself is crumbling, and I am not taking that into account when I post.

The subs also pisses me off why wait until we are behind to make changes what can possibly be beneficial from bringing on holgate at 2/0 down besides clearing the stadium

Similar to @brap2 , I just don't like him and never will. I've never taken to him as a person or as a manager. I dislike loads about him. I don't like his football. I don't like how he communicates. I don't particularly like his values. I hate how he doesn't really like new players, and makes a point of not introducing them for a while. I didn't like the ''all British friendlies'' thing. I think he's small minded, petty and anachronistic.

At the same time, I can respect that he did an excellent job last season in circumstances that would've tested any manager, and I think it's fine that he'll see us through this season in relative safety. I don't think he'll get any bigger jobs than this. The only way he'll get future Prem jobs is as a relegation-saving specialist for clubs that panic.

I'm very hopeful that we get new ownership this year and then go in a different direction next summer.

He's almost certainly the best man for the job and I'm grateful for the job he's done and is doing.

But it's another sad indictment of where we are and how we've been run.

I think the comment about the fans yesterday could be a bit of a nail in the coffin for him. Everyone appreciates the job he did, it was exceptional given the circumstances, but when you start making sniddy comments about the fans, play shit football, and put out shit teams despite having better options, there is only way easy that goes
