Shockingly less cringe than previous manager John Herdman.

I have come to like Marsch overall, he has come across as genuinely enjoying his time in Canada and done a lot outside of his day to day to promote football in Canada.

I think most view him as performative and he can lay it on thick but at least to me he seems genuine and the players speak highly of him.

Getting up this morning with no highlights to watch was a bit rubbish.

Haven’t watched anything for over a week now. Relying on NSNO and the BBC for news and views. Big stand out for me so far the remarkable 9 out of 10 African Nat IPO a qualifying for the knock-out stage. So, having watched many games which are the round of 32 games you are most looking forward to?

PS - keep up the match commentary and analysis, I’ll need it! We were supposed to be home this weekend but have decided to travel another week and visit the Orkneys.

Thought South Africa looked neat going forward, but Canada probably deserved it with Davies looking classy

Think it's mad the way people are writing off Brazil. Great CB duo and keeper. Strong Premier League midfield. One of the best players in the tournament in Vinicius. Quality attackers in the likes of Cunha, Rayan, Endrick, Martinelli. Arguably the best manager in the whole tournament.

Maybe I'm wrong but they're massively being underestimated imo.

Fully agree .

The centre halves, the keeper, all that attacking talent with a manager like Carlo is well enough for them to win it.

As we all know, can’t do anything with two absolute wastes of space at fullback

They looked good against Scotland...

Can't write off any of the usual suspects: Brazil; Argentina; France; Spain; Germany; England

Whatever happened to Italy? Uruguay and Hungary were good, once...!

Japan, good for a shock result, but Ancelotti a bit too smart

Iran, unbeaten and out!

Surprised India don't qualify from the Asia groups

Not so good in football, only won one game in their AFC group of 6 matches.

Kabaddi world champions however. 8-)

I turned the game off last night, I thought it was garbage. I watched the Diamond League instead

I only watched the second half but the standard of footy was atrocious. Happy for Canada but it was a grind of a watch.

Between the talent they have, including one of the players of the tournament so far in Vinicius Jr and Carlo overseeing it all you'd have them as strong favourites here. Japan can play some great football at times, so still have a decent punchers chance. Just a shame they're missing a couple of their key players as I think it could've made for a bigger chance of an upset.

Hoping for a good game as on paper it looks a great fixture.

Look at the Brazilian players talking about Carlo here.

All with massive smiles, faces all lit up.

What a guy. Would love them to win it.
