Of course you did, I heard Celtic were interested. 🙂

Yeah, just heard that on 5live, don’t think he is going to be the answer to Leeds problems.

From Paddy Boyland's latest article:

"Everton’s early business had been solid enough, but needed to go further. They had been open to retaining Abdoulaye Doucoure and Dominic Calvert-Lewin on the right terms, but in each case there was too significant a gap to bridge in talks. It was assumed Doucoure was heading to Saudi Arabia (which he eventually did, joining NEOM SC) and would more than double his Everton salary of around £100,000. Calvert-Lewin wanted a significant raise on his £90,000 a week salary and a long-term deal, and had felt his status as a free agent would advance his chances of earning a move to an elite club."

Deluded, scores 16 league goals in a season then 17 over the next four yet thinks he's worth a significant pay rise and long term deal with his injury record. Too many headers under Dyche ball if he thinks that.

He probably had one more big move/contract in him before the injury under Benitez.

He’s looking for money like he still has that explosiveness from when he was younger. After watching him the past few seasons, he’s just not the same physically.

Shame how it went down. I liked him, he worked his socks off for some horrible teams but ending up with Barry instead of renewing him is going to be a huge win longer-term.

I'm curious how much less he got from Leeds below the offer we made him that he turned down.

I genuinely have nothing against him. I hope he does brilliantly at Leeds and scores a record number of goals for a relegated team.
