I am once again asking you to sub off Ronaldo for the laughs.
Martinez is just prepping him for the world cup*

Deschamps turns every match into a slog betting that the superior talent on his side will find a goal somewhere.
It feels like a waste of an immensely gifted squad but they’ve won one World Cup and nearly won a second.
In retrospect, it’s a bit of a miracle that we got such an entertaining final at the last World Cup because entertainment is not what Deschamps’ France does.

I love when commentators act like a Ronaldo free kick is exciting.
His goalscoring record from direct free kicks is entirely volume based.

Any danger of getting some players in the box there?

Any Premier League manager circa the mid-2010s could prescribe you a very good plan for winning this match.
No excuse for France not committing more men on the break.
I wish I loved anything as much as Roberto loves leaving his centre backs exposed in an ocean of space.

Doesn’t even feel like France are trying.

This has been great shank-the-ball-over-the-bar practice for both sides.

Both of these deserve to lose on pens.
Martinez will be made up either way. SF or unfortunate loss against the tournament favourites that he can spin to stay in a job.

Go ruin another club, you coward.
