No, Portsmouth in 2009 actually went bankrupt, into administration and only got a 9 point deduction.
I want to be hopeful that someone else looks at this on appeal and comes to a similar conclusion that a lot of us and in fairness a fair few others outside the club have come to and reverses this or at least minimizes the punishment...it's just hard to rely on that given past history.
They can have a scapegoat with a 3 point deduction. That’s still a really severe penalty without going overboard. You only get a 9 point penalty for going into administration yet this is somehow worse. It’s ridiculous.

You’re probably right but then again who saw a vindictive 10 point deduction ever coming our way.
Such was the ineptitude of the overspending that led to this and the absolute shite we bought, there’s a good argument for saying we should be given points, not having them deducted!
