I think we'd likely see some of the same issues/challenges regardless of manager.
It's hard to know how many of his decisions are him doing exactly what he wants to do, and how much is he doing because he feels like he only has bad choices.
I do think he's getting some things wrong, mainly his use of strikers, but he's always been someone who's low risk and slow to trust which is why we're seeing the same options used over and over again in attack.
Charlie is a great example, he offers something we desperately need, but also makes a decision or takes a risk that none of the other 3 would. His slip against leeds probably cemented him as 'not ready yet' in Moyes' eyes.
Edit - insane typos.

Re: David Moyes
I think Brentford had identified their next manager knowing Frank would be in demand, got him in and gave him the title of set piece coach, their way of forward thinking. Very clever, yet very simple.Shogun wrote: ↑Wed Nov 05, 2025 7:52 pm Moyes does feel like the wrong man. Anzou, Barry, Dibling... Not one of them has he been able to get quality out of so far. When you look at the work he's done with the England U21s, I can't help but think Carsley could have been the right man for the job.
And yes, I know he'd have been a big risk and I know it would have been 'mental'. Not quite as mental as Brentford giving their set piece coach the main gig though.
Re: David Moyes
I would honestly rather how Brentford handled Set Piece Coach to Coach than how we handled Charlie Adam to Set Piece Coach.
What an embarrassing debacle that was.

Re: David Moyes
FFS, how many managers have been sacked from United since Moyes ? He was mad to go to Sociadad, Sunderland, no idea, wasn’t following him or Sunderland, West Ham, didn’t he get them into Europe and what you call the second sacking was just an end of contract thing ?ilikebrunettesisback wrote: ↑Thu Nov 06, 2025 12:50 pm Whats more likely is we have a manager thats not very good...

Re: David Moyes
It's the total of xG of the opponents in the matches that you've had so far - so calculated the same way as xG
