Re: January Transfer Window
We've given him up: R Astley has joined Dundee - I guess you can't have your cake and eat it, just gotta roll with it...

Re: January Transfer Window
Luiz Henrique hotting up a bit on loan.
Not seen a minute of him but left footed and can play either side according to transfermarkt.
Fbref paints him as a bit of a grafter who dribbles with the ball but isn't getting in the area or taking on shots. Brazilian Harrison?
Likely be the replacement for Danjuma, different skill set but maybe more suited to dyche's rugby.

Manager has a certain style of play, director of football goes and finds a player than suits that style of play.brap2 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 20, 2024 10:39 am Luiz Henrique hotting up a bit on loan.

That’s good init?
No matter what you think about how we play, we consistently create more chances than the opposition so let him crack on.
I’d rather we played like this than how everyone else in the league seems to play tbh

I have to say, I think I'm holding off any and all criticism of Dyche for the foreseeable future. He's doing a sterling job under mad circumstances, and he's literally the only reason we've still got any chance of staying afloat.
Never going to be in love with the football but that's at the very bottom of a long list of priorities at the moment.

Yeah definitely, that point was in there as a positive.TheRam wrote: ↑Sat Jan 20, 2024 10:55 am Manager has a certain style of play, director of football goes and finds a player than suits that style of play.

The style of footy is fine especially for the time being, make more chances than we concede, make use of set pieces, squeeze the life out of the opposition when they wobble at the back, get in shape when they're not wobbling.
It's just also extremely boring when it isn't going your way and it's extremely limited in terms of ceiling, but this is for another convo surely.
This guy, watched some videos and obv you can never tell but he looks a good size, good feet but very one footed, I think he'll probably play on the right more than the left, but I suppose Dwight is a lefty on the left. Seems dribbly but Harrison and Dwight both like to push forward with it don't they.
I'd be interested in seeing him I can't lie. Don't think I'd swap danjuma for him who I think is a CL level attacker at his best, but if we have to lose danjuma I'd be ok with someone like this who feels like they'd suit dyche better on the face of it.
