Think he’s an important part of Dyche’s setup and given how close everything is at the bottom I’d not be keen to sell and replace with a Man Utd youngster who hasn’t played much.

Doesn’t seem to matter to the larger clubs. I’ve no idea what their revenue is like though as they’ve spent a lot and I don’t remember too many major sales to offset Obviously their income is pretty large though.

It’s a particularly odd move for Arsenal and Onana.

Rice and Odegaard will start for some time to come. Onana won’t be good enough to usurp them, for at least a year or two. I can’t see him wanting to go somewhere to sit on the bench knowing his character. He is a leader and wants to play.

So unless he is forced out by Everton, Onana won’t be pushing it, at least for the next 18 months or so in my view.

I don't think it's that odd, he would probably play with those two most of the time in a midfield 3, whether in the 6 or the 8. Partey is constantly injured, and Havertz well...just hasn't worked. You could play Onana in the 6 and free Rice up to be more box to box, or the other way around potentially (which probably won't work).

I'm hugely surprised Arteta is making this a priority like, when a striker and/or another quality wide forward would make a huge difference to them, but then Arteta has made some bad mistakes in the transfer market (aside from Rice) recently.

Yeah, I don't necessarily think it's odd Arsenal would want him as I think he'd improve their options and offer something a little different. However, they'd be nuts to not priortise a forward you'd think if their spending was at all limited.

Though as noted some of their summer business was a bit weird too. So who knows. Feels like Arteta tried to do his own version of Man City's playing without a striker and it's come back to bite them.

I can see us potentially needing a big sale before fiscal year-end which does put some pressure as we could get our pants pulled down in the spring trying to sell by June 30.

However, Onana will have a lot of interested parties - United and Arsenal would both use him and maybe even Chelsea, Newcastle, Tottenham. £60 million seems light given what Lavia went for this past summer and he wasn't close to Onana's level.

Would think we could pretty easily get £70million, rather see that happen this summer though as we are already light at CM.
