It's his last one for a reason and we've given too many of them out over the years.

These type of loans are financial madness.

Really hope City pay his wages, bus fares and pack his scran for him.

It's a big no from me now.

Think it depends on the option to buy and at what price. This time next year he's gonna be close to 30. We aren't really going to be wanting to spend 30m on someone who's 29 and a half unless he's been absolutely amazing and even then it would be dead money

Maybe if the option is 15-20m (which it won't be) then he's worth the risk on loan. If its 30m then it's probably not really an option at all for a club having to watch the pennies still

I would be more for this deal a few weeks ago but a fortnight from the season opener and looking at some of his performances in America I would definitely swerve

The cost of not signing a DM would be greater than signing him on loan. Think we've just got to get him in, especially if we're not seriously after a decent ready made alternative.

Upside is we've seen what he's capable of. Downside is of course, that he doesn't replicate it.

If those are all options, Fulham with a Palhinha-sized hole in their midfield is probably his best choice for rebuilding his reputation.

He wouldn’t have to relocate if he comes to us, I’d see that as being a major factor.

Ten million quid to push a problem down the road for nine months. Even if he's a success he'll have us by the balls next April.
