I suspect he'd want to have a look and feel over what he's actually buyingMayorFarnham wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2024 1:46 am I doubt any meetings will need to take place in Liverpool.

If they do need to negotiate face to face I doubt they'll do it while checking for restricted views.
Very doubtful that a meeting in Liverpool is necessary.

Lyon have been a shambles since he got involved.sam of the south wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2024 4:05 pm What specifics are you worried about with him, mate?
Fan protest on the pitch and at the training ground.
He’s also asset stripped them it seems to fund the club.
I see they’ve spent more than £40m on two average players from Forest as well which rings alarm bells.
He’s found himself in trouble in both brazil and france because he can’t keep his mouth shut.
The man seems chaotic. Strikes me as the type who’ll get bored as soon as he realises he can’t spend his way to success.
I think we’ll be ending one period of chaos just to enter another with this joker.
Terrible vibes all round.

Just praying there is some twist that brings TFG back into the fold but not holding out much hope.
This guy seems like a poundshop Ted Bholy. He'll come in and want to go wild but won't be allowed.
Dunno, just don't like the feel of him at all.

It's a nice headline, but the detail shows it's propped up through asset stripping.
Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin Purchase Falls Through
The bit about events and sponsorships increasing is good on paper as long as they're not megafon style dodgy ones, but selling off assets to celebrate a growth in revenue isn't ideal no haha
Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin Purchase Falls Through
Lyon fans were in a piss prior to his arrival, fighting in the stand and riots etc. There has been a lot of unrest there for a while, im not sure if hes turned it around or not, but it would probably be difficult to do it in 18 months anyway? I know there were protests pre Xmas when they were near the bottom, but not seen much since, and they ended last season in 6thTheRam wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2024 9:06 am Lyon have been a shambles since he got involved.

He's never there apparently, only really bothered about big Botafogo.
On the one hand, I'm sceptical. On the other hand, I would not be adverse to seeing a bunch of random Brazilians playing for Everton.

Interestingly, Botafogo have had 4 different managers (6 including interim) in the last 14 months.
