Summer Transfer Window Discussion
Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
No idea what his current health status is, but I know he missed a massive chunk of the season to some mystery illness, or might have been long COVID... Can't remember the details, just that he was out for a long time with health issues.
Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
Just survive this season, have the cost of debt imrpoved, move into new stadium, evolve.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
Had a search on the back of this, he had a blood clot and then couldn't play for a while as he was on blood thinners, then when he came back picked up a few niggles because he'd not played for so long, but he's supposed to be fine now. Would be free, but reading that I'd rather we gave him a 12 month loan back to the Championship/abroad to a side that will look to play him build him up, so we have this luxury though?
Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
Arthur Okonkwo, 22 year old goalie from Arsenal, last season on loan to Wrexham, they desperate to sign him, Arse fans saying big mistake letting him go, would be good to replace Lonergan, especially if any chance of Pickford going.TheRam wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 3:34 pm https://www.premierleague.com/news/4030596
Who we taking from this then?

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
Think we need to cast our free transfer net a bit wider this summer.

Wouldn't mind approaching Man U for a loan of Amad Diallo. They're already heavily stocked in wide areas, and linked with a move for Olise on top of that.
Diallo would give us a lot more cutting edge.

He'd be given the Danjuma treatment. Forget about that type of winger under Dyche.Bluedylan1 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 4:40 pm Wouldn't mind approaching Man U for a loan of Amad Diallo. They're already heavily stocked in wide areas, and linked with a move for Olise on top of that.

Re: Summer Transfer Window Discussion
Nah, I think he's a bit different to Danjuma. A lot younger and hungrier.
Danjuma's more of a wide forward who wants to stay higher up the pitch that we tried to crowbar into a wide midfielder position, whereas Diallo has got the pace and engine to get up and down. Think it's the sort of deal we should be looking at (if he's available), to give us a little more cutting edge in the final third.
Also, that Paddy Boyland article in the Athletic that was referenced on here the other day suggested we're looking for loans/free and looking to add more thrust in forward/wide areas. I think a loan for Diallo would tick both of those boxes.
