Or even cross the ball without hitting the first man or row z.

Re: January transfer window
I thought there were a few decent crosses last night, but we looked out of practice. Same with balls forward. I thought a few were well done and a few were over hit. Makes me feel more like out of practice than incapable.
Re: January transfer window
probably an unpopular opinion but i think if we can get someone who can set beto up the way he needs it, in behind, he'd do OK. Obvs it was on peterborough last night but with Armstrong just putting in simple little balls behind the defence Beto got more joy
mans got some speed, if not much else

That game last night didn't look anything like a PL game. Still need big improvements.

He’d be good competition for Doucoure.StirlingBlue wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 6:44 am Surely we’re not going to spend what little money we have on a DM who can’t pass particularly well - we already have two of those
This is all tongue in cheek obviously but it would just be classic Everton to sack one manager to hire a very similar one and immediately sign an older not very good player from his old team for dollar. I suppose we’re going for a reset to the time before moshiri at least with this. Yippee
Re: January transfer window
Left-footer who mainly plays on the right for Lyon (this season at least).
Good dribbling numbers, decent attacking output, good defensive output.
Give Thelwell his credit, he’s been consistent in hunting this player. Minteh, Philogene. Philosophically we want this profile in the team.
We finally seem to be doing reasonable things recruitment-wise, just in time to be strapped by financial restrictions stemming from all the dumb stuff we did before. You hate to see it.

Re: January transfer window
What do we have to do to get a right footer or two footer (with pace) to play wide right, it pisses me off no end watching players constantly having to cut in to get it on their left foot, if we’re going down this route then we need to go three at the back and have Patto as RWB, like last night.kramer wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 1:50 pm Left-footer who mainly plays on the right for Lyon (this season at least).

I quite like the look of Tom Fellows for that role, although I haven't seen much of him play aside from highlights. He seems genuinely two footed, but slightly favouring his left. Hope there's something in these rumours.
