That’s why Amazon created in-game stats viewing on their sports coverage right? It’s all about the data-driven decisions!
All 4 major American sportsball leagues (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL) are extremely reliant on advanced stats. I'd say maybe 5% or fewer of franchises don't buy into statistics (or at least, not nearly as much as they should).

It's no longer an "if" open question here, just variances on how the maths is applied.

Would it be just our luck to get wealthy American owners just as America turn gangster on the world?

There's an 87.6% probability that this is correct.

Dallas Mavericks Head Coach Jason Kidd has joined the ownership group

🗣️“I’m honoured to be joining Everton’s ownership at such an important moment: with a new stadium on the horizon and a bright future ahead, it’s a great moment to come on board.” - Dallas Mavericks Head Coach, Jason Kidd

Jason Kidd is a bit of a legend. Being head coach of a top sports team as well will hopefully bring a whole different angle to things.

I'm also baffled why we're promoting a basketball coach being part of Everton

Seems a good bloke anyway

Kidd married his first wife, Joumana, in 1997. In January 2001, he was arrested and pled guilty to a domestic abuse charge for assaulting her. As part of his plea, Kidd was ordered to attend anger management classes for six months. Kidd completed the mandatory counseling and continued to attend on his own. On January 9, 2007, Kidd filed for divorce, citing "extreme cruelty" during their relationship. He contended intense jealousy, paranoia and the threat of "false domestic abuse claims" to the police as reasons for the divorce. On February 15, 2007, Joumana Kidd filed a counterclaim for divorce,[104] claiming that Jason, among instances of abuse, "broke her rib and damaged her hearing by smashing her head into the console of a car." The couple has three children.[105][106]

On September 10, 2011, Kidd married Porschla Coleman, a former model.[107]

On July 15, 2012, Kidd was arrested by police in Southampton Town, New York and charged with the misdemeanor of driving while intoxicated.[108] According to police, around 2 a.m. Kidd's vehicle struck a telephone pole a few blocks away from his home and ended up in the woods, where officers determined him to be under the influence.[109]

Just hoping all of this doesn't put Moyes nose out of joint and we are back to square one looking for yet another manager.
