The lease expires on August 1st and TFG will not renew it, it’s on the market at £93.000 p.a. Rent and £39k business rates, can’t imagine what sort of company could make a profit on those numbers once you add payroll and energy costs into the equation. I think there is a smaller Everton shop on the corner at the end of Gwladys St. that will probably be big enough to service tge crowds for the ladies team.

I think that wee shop on the corner is closed now although you'd think it could be fairly easily refurbed and opened back up. It'll probably depend on what the longer term intentions are for the buildings.Escalator wrote: ↑Fri Jun 20, 2025 2:27 pm The lease expires on August 1st and TFG will not renew it, it’s on the market at £93.000 p.a. BTW The Winslow are running match day shuttle service to BMD, continue the tradition of pre match drinks at The Winslow then bus transfer to BMD for kick off, can’t see tha lasting long though.

Everton one is not really a building that would attract much interest I’d have thought.

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Actually who owns it, you’d have thought we did with its design, unless we sold it off when bill couldn’t remortgage his mums house anymore.
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Yeah, I think while there's not much down at BMD some of the pubs up by Goodison will still get a bit of trade and I'd assume a lot of fans will live within the area so a couple of pints and a free run to the ground will be appealing but I can see that dwindling over time.
Fair play to them for giving it a go, I'm sure someone said that guy who owns the Winslow is minted and any time I've been outside of matchdays it's never been open so they probably make enough on matchdays without having to open much more but it's a shame that over time we'll slowly lose all these old institutions, many simply won't be able to continue without the matchday income.

Pretty sure it went with Finch Farm and all the other family silver that Bill flogged. Once we had the money to buy it back it probably wasn't worth doing as we knew we'd be moving anyway.

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Shame. If the women’s team are going to be there and folk are used to going there I would guess it should still be pretty viable?
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
Would be nice but look at the rent and rates and think about 39,000 people attending the match compared to less than a thousand on a enrage, maybe we can get the ladies attendance up to 2,000 on average but that will not sustain a buisness with those overheads.Toddacelli wrote: ↑Fri Jun 20, 2025 6:31 pm Shame. Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
I get it. I’m just heart over head at the moment about leaving the area. Yes they got hugely inflated numbers previously (what shop has 30k+ product enthusiasts turn up every two weeks?) but for a normal street store I’d have thought that it would be enough to keep the lights on being at Goodison, getting the women’s game traffic, nostalgia tourists and anybody doing the Goodison tour if they’re still on?
Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
I saw segura is moving.
Not been back since they started doing some jarg membership but was the best for a post match pint for a while
Be a rushed cashgrab job imo but I am observing

Re: New Everton Stadium at Bramley Moore Dock
I've warmed up to the new name now, after initial disappointment. Inevitably talked myself round to liking it, as with anything we do, signing Bolasie, hiring Dyche... but at least this time it's a sensible business decision.
Although it'll have to be referred to as Bramley Moore Dock when we belt out Spirit of the Blues.
