Thierno Barry
Re: Thierno Barry
Seems like this was the number one priority after Delap chose Chelsea - great to get a big signing in early and allow us to move onto the next one without a three month drawn out wank saga
Re: Thierno Barry
I'm liking the way it looks like we identified this lad early doors and have then worked on the deal and seemingly got it wrapped up. It suggests we're working to a plan and hopefully points towards big improvements in our recruitment department compared to what we've seen over recent years.
Re: Thierno Barry
Bit loose from the club really, given TFGs supposed no leaks/no press contact etc.
- Unofficial photos of the contract signing.
- Unofficial photo at the stadium photo shoot.
Not disappointed, just surprised.

Re: Thierno Barry
Yeah but they didn’t come from TFG though did they? There’s so many people involved these days and so many fringe and hangers on it’s probably impossible to keep a lid on anything like this.
Re: Thierno Barry
Really happy.
6ft5 of fun, potential to really explode if we get it right.
We are due a bit of luck with a striker for a change, hope he smashes it here.

For sure, I understand the difficulty, even more reason to be on top of it. Probably should have said the club rather than TFG...Toddacelli wrote: ↑Wed Jul 09, 2025 11:14 am Yeah but they didn’t come from TFG though did they? I just find photos of a contract, the actual pages visible, you'd think someone from the club who was there might have stipulated no photos etc from their entourage until the club decides to reveal it, with their own media, pretend contract, pen, and grinning tanned manager back from holiday.
I mean, Contract Jonathan surely was there.

Re: Thierno Barry
I'm really excited about this signing, young with potential, but at a decent level already, and will offer a different dimension to our attacking options.

Re: Thierno Barry
Yeah I was agreeing with you, just pointing out how hard it must be these days when everyone has a mobile film and photography studio in their pocket and ‘clout’ is a thing. Sad really.Cods wrote: ↑Wed Jul 09, 2025 12:02 pm For sure, I understand the difficulty, even more reason to be on top of it. Probably should have said the club rather than TFG...

Re: Thierno Barry
From those YouTube videos he likes to drift left a lot. Hope he can make it work with NDiaye/Dwight and not occupy the same space (unlike bellingham and kane)

Re: Thierno Barry
Hoping for a nice domino effect now.
Get a few more in before we jet out to the USA.
Kubo and Luiz would be the dream but that would be a stretch I think.
