We honestly probably need more oversight at this point than Roma does. We need someone to really come in and assess our situation and try to help correct our course.

Re: End of Moshiri - Friedkin, IT'S HAPPENING!!
We were never going to be taken over by some white knight given the state of the club, and these guys seemed by far the best who were interested so I'm absolutely delighted.
It seems this will help us be less skint due to paying off certain loans or refinancing them at a better rate, and bodes well for the immediate future of the club.
Hopefully it all goes through, we start to pick up points and can look forward to a first season at BDM with a brighter future ahead

There is already a Toyota Stadium - FC Dallas play there.
How about the Prius Plus 1.8L Hybrid Stadium?

He doesn’t own Toyota, he owns the distribution rights in several U.S states so not his call and of little commercial value to him. What he does own though is the luxury chain of hotels Auberge resorts which would make a classy shirt sponsor and give massive exposure on the European market, at least a very decent sleeve sponsor.

More, those were the days when every football fan in the country wanted a billionaire as it was considered a guarantee of success. We soon destroyed that notion though.

Load of bollocks. We're an attractive proposition because we're poorly run but have a new stadium almost finished and even running us in a half decent fashion will mean a great return on investment down the line.
We're being bought to flip not because of anything fluffy and wonderful like the people involved in and around the club.

Yeah - it's a nice puff piece written with twinkling eyes as though we were still in the Kenwright days, but completely fails to recognise the degree of operational ineptitude that key members of staff have saddled the club with, and the cultural mediocrity that has become embeded in all we do.AjaxAndy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2024 5:02 pm Load of bollocks. We remain active investors in the sports industry. We love the beautiful game. The potential addition of Everton to our portfolio does not alter our focus on AS Roma. If anything, the multi-club symbiosis will only help Roma. Each club in our portfolio operates independently and AS Roma remains at the heart of our football ambitions. Rest assured, our commitment of time, resources, and energy to Roma will not be diminished. Our goal is clear - to see AS Roma consistently compete at the highest levels of European football.
