Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
I’m happy to wait until the deadline if Doue remains a possibility even if we miss out. As Angus say, non of our other targets have moved yet so the first domino hasn’t toppled. That’s probably Doue. I’ll be devastated if we end up with Castagne after all of it but we have to wait just incase

That's hilarious. People have spent pages dissecting what 70% could possibly mean, with numerous theories, and it turns out he was making a general statement about the transfer window.
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
I think the confusing part of the Doue approaches is that at the very minimum he'd cost £30m, but it seems they want around the £40m mark.Bornblue88 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2026 5:01 pm I’m happy to wait until the deadline if Doue remains a possibility even if we miss out. Yet we are then apparently making bids for Johnston and Castagne, with the former being £15m, and the latter probably around the same.
Either we have money for someone of Doue's quality, or we don't, but yet somehow we seem to be bidding for both ends of that spectrum.

Once again point proven….oddly you probably don’t remember when we constantly broke British transfer records…oddly you don’t remember the 80’s…..777Kidnappings wrote: ↑Mon Aug 17, 2026 7:47 pm Oddly we never do sign an mbappe to prove your point. Oddly weve no real success in recent times to prove your point
Oddly…….it’s these two reasons fans of my age support our great club through thick and thin…good and bad….instead of constantly moaning about everything Everton…

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
I'm quite excited. It's all just a big game of poker/dominoes, isn't it?
There are so many factors at play - on the one hand, we all seem to acknowledge that we don't have a huge amount of money to spend and that we're not the most attractive proposition as a club. But then, on the other hand, we expect the club to slap down £40 mill for a promising young RB who is clearly holding out for a better move.
We don't know what's happening with Ndiaye. Iroegbunam was halfway out the door but picked up an injury. Other players leaving, other targets becoming available. It was pointed out elsewhere, but maybe Palace don't want to give us one of their best players 5 days before we play them.
I guess it's all just part of the game. They've tried to bring in players and I think they've done alright so far. But, like many of the other teams, we're not at the stage where we can just cherry pick who we want no matter the cost. Frustrating AF but we just have to ride the wave and judge when the window closes.
