He still has that fire about him to achieve more in the game. The way he speaks and carries himself tells me that he wants to manage for some years to come.

He will go through periods that are frustrating to fans but unless you are one of the very top clubs, i think that comes with the territory of being a football fan in general.

We are very lucky to have him at the club. He is so underrated and it’s only when a manager like Moyes leaves and gets replaced do you realise what you had. He is the perfect fit for us at a perfect time in our history.

He's noted himself several times that we don't score many goals but we've not done a whole lot tactically to try and alleviate that - it does leave a niggling worry at the back of your mind that we'll still be watching negative football even in 18 months with some new signings and everybody fit.

There was a period under him though where we played some good attacking football so he does have it in him, it's just been a long long time since we've seen it.

His latter years in his first spell was easy on the eye, but he had an Arteta, Pienaar, Baines, Coleman, Osman and Cahill. Hopefully he builds something similar.
