Re: Abdoulaye Doucoure
I think one of the reasons that he looked more like his best self at the weekend is that Beto was playing. Because Beto runs in behind, stretches the defence and gets defenders running back towards their own goal, it naturally creates spaces for an attacking midfielder to crash the box.
Another component of that is having people who can play those passes to get Beto in behind like Tarks and Garner did at the weekend.
Suddenly Doucoure becomes more dynamic as a result of the space created.

Can always count on Gary Neville to whore out a concept until it dies.

Re: Abdoulaye Doucoure
Good listen that.
He comes across really well.
You can tell he genuinely cares about the club and getting the most out of his career.
I bet he’s a dream for a manager to work with.
I know he’s frustrating at the moment but it shouldn’t be forgotten how important he’s been.
Think him, Gana and pickford have been holding us together whilst it falls apart around them.

For the Bournemouth goal alone, love him. Can't play, but love the man. Also hate watching him on the pitch. It's a strange mental dynamic.
Re: Abdoulaye Doucoure
Looks like he has a massive yellow head spot by his left eye,
For gods sake fucking squeeze that spot man

Re: Abdoulaye Doucoure
I think tonight summed him up perfectly. Missed a couple of decent chances through lack of composure and technique, but ran his bollocks off an caused problems all night and we'd have been worse off without him I think.
Then running to the gobshites at the end was absolute fucking class. What a guy.

Re: Abdoulaye Doucoure
Don't think there's anyone like him in the league, I love him, he's nuts and we don't function well without him
Re: Abdoulaye Doucoure
Just have to take the good with the bad with him, great engine and all that but most play breaks down when it gets to him and lack of ability on the ball cost us another goal tonight. Guy does my head in.
