Aye. But some interesting scouting by the lad. Hope someone sends this to the recruitment committee.

Re: January Transfer Window
Let’s not splash all our money on a mid-table 29yr old, thought we’d learnt from the Moshiri years
Re: January Transfer Window
We don't need Bowen, we have enough wide players and wears the point of push Dibling even further down the pecking order?
Not that we have the money for Bowen (or probably anyone in Jan other than a loan), but if we were spending cash RB, LB, ST and CM would all be a priority over another winger.

Absolutely need a player of his quality who gets in behind, and gets shots off.AjaxAndy wrote: ↑Wed Dec 24, 2025 3:49 pm We don't need Bowen, we have enough wide players and wears the point of push Dibling even further down the pecking order?

Re: January Transfer Window
It's not even close to being a priority though, surely it's better to unlock Ndaiye and Grealish with overlapping full backs then ask Bowen to also deal with the same issues and being doubled up on time and time again?
Also the cost would make it an absolute no go based on his age... Really good player, I'm not doubting that, but we have far more pressing areas and need to buy a completely different age profile anyway.
In the summer would I be tempted if it were him or Grealish for the same cost? Maybe, but again it pushes Dibling back down the order and we've invested heavily in him so seems counter productive. Wouldn't necessarily say no but the fee would have to be massively under his market value and wages much lower than he'd want.
