Apparently Sporting are potentially willing to let someone try the Vag without paying, which would probably be appealing to Moyes.
I don't know how seriously we are looking at the Vag, but could potentially be a low risk option. Try before you buy would mean if the Vag stinks we aren't tied in to any sort of long term commitment.

I can’t be teaching people about net spend in 2026 like, after 5 fucking pages of finance chat someone popping up without knowing what net spend is I’m sorry but I can’t do it

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
The post said net spend - which means that person thinks we will spend £50m more than we bring in.
No sales = £50m
£100m sales = £150m
Which means we're looking to add £10-12m a year onto our operating costs

From Ornstein's piece on Hackney:
Everton have also considered Southampton’s Shea Charles as they look to strengthen their midfield, while there is doubt over the futures of Tim Iroegbunam, who has attracted interest from elsewhere in recent months, and Idrissa Gueye, who the club are set to hold talks with his contract expiring this month.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Had a little read of their forum and doesn't sound like he's ready to step up in the way Hackney is.
Undoubted potential but also the type of slightly raw talent Moyes would advise watches the matches for 12-18 months before seeing any meaningful game time.
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
"Squad Cost Ratio (SCR)The Spending Cap: Clubs are generally limited to spending 85% of their football-related revenue on squad costs (wages, transfers, agent fees)."
Any good articles to properly understand this?
Turnover 2025 was £196 so lets say 2026 its £225m, stadium move etc... 85% is £191m. 2025-2026 Season wage bill was £96m so £95m to play with. Assuming we sell no one, we could buy 2, £40m players and pay them about £100k per week (£5.2m per year). That would leave us about 4.5 million within budget. Agents fees would likely swallow that up.
In terms of the remainkng 15% left, that needs to cover operating costs, stadium repayments etc.
Is that an over simplification? Is it 85% of the previous years turnover or is it calculated retrospectively based on the 2027 financials?

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
The 25-year-old impressed during his loan spell at Sunderland and is said to be keen on remaining in the Premier League. Everton scouts have reportedly monitored him extensively throughout the season, with David Moyes eager to strengthen the right-back position ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Geertruida's versatility, defensive quality, and strong passing ability make him an attractive option as Everton look to bring in a natural right-back rather than continuing to rely on Jake O'Brien in the role.

'Right Back' Leipzig, eh.
From the Everton 'Full Back' pages.
(sorry, couldn't read it any other way)
Is there a chance Sunderland go back in for him?

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Except he's not a natural right back according to my Sunderland supporting mate, and a DM who can play RB to an ok but not great level.
