Actually what we need is a 1 in 3 striker. 12/13 goals is still a very decent return over the season for where we are. Hopefully DCL can get that this season.
Watkins was the top assister in the league as well with 13, he had a mind blowing season TBF.

From 15 minutes onwards, the Italian correspondent worries me a bit.

The Friedkin’s did go full Moshiri, splashing the cash, bringing in Mourinho and Lukaku, and kinda ignoring ffp, and then started selling off many of their young players.

Also, Roma supporters sound like the majority of the Everton fanbase, preferring tried and tested and attempting to buy immediate success, over analytics and building a sustainable business model for the future (which the previous owner was doing, making large profits on Allison & Salah, and getting vilified for it)

I hope the Friedkin’s have learnt from this, but a Moshiri mk ii would suck balls.

And these were my concerns, when you look into them in any depth you could easily replace Friedkin with Moshiri and not really notice, if anything, they went one step further than Moshiri as they actually appointed their own Big Dunc in De Rossi and then realised he was shit and fired him after 3 months, but like you said, hopefully they have learnt their lessons

The big difference is - they've got the dough they claim they have.

It's as simple as that. I don't think they're going to be the silver bullet, and we are likely going to be back at the roulette wheel a little bit, moaning about projects and short termism and maybe making the odd irritating move in the transfer window, but it's lightyears away from where we've been over the last 5 years, and crucially - not built on the shifting sands of a gangsters empire.

Did that journo mention how Roma are now in profit after being in a shitload of debt?

That’s all that matters. These fellas have money and a lot of it.

They’re going to clear the debt over time and use their own money to run the club instead of pay day loans and running to others to invest.

Might be a bit chaotic on the pitch at times but off the pitch we couldnt ask for much better.

Didn't realise Friedkin was also a film director - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Last_Vermeer

Seems like a person of quite varying interests.

Might give that a watch. He seems to like history I think with his flying his own plane in the movie Dunkirk. Our history might appeal to that part of him and he'll want to restore us. That's the hope anyway

Let’s hope he watches a documentary about Dixie Dean and then obsesses about finding the next “Dixie” for us
