Summer Transfer Window 2026
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
He’s a right back who can play centre half or DM if needed.
He was a very good right back a few years ago but seems to have dropped off a bit.
Mukiele took a lot of his minutes as he’s a much better player.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
We ideally need two RB’s, as Joe Thomas said. Otherwise, we all know JOB will be in at every other opportunity, so Moyes can put Keane back in.
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Don’t get this Moyes only playing his favourites shout, he had to play Keane out of necessity, not in preference to anyone else, Branthwaite was fucked so which other CB was he supposed to play there ?
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Obrien at centre half, garner or Patterson at right back.
He had plenty of opportunities to do this, and when he did, it worked.

Mad how guys justify he had to play Keane he definitely didn’t but was too stubborn to change Patterson played about 4/5 games this season and mainly did well like villa and forest away but Moyes went back to Jake at rb

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
I dont think he mainly did well. He mainly wasnt a car crash. Think o brien is comfortably a better right back though obviously that doesnt mean that o brien and patterson arent better than keane and o brien.Kerryblueboy wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2026 12:07 pm Mad how guys justify he had to play Keane he definitely didn’t but was too stubborn to change Patterson played about 4/5 games this season and mainly did well like villa and forest away but Moyes went back to Jake at rb
We never such be arguing about the 2 though. We should have 2 decent options to play right back
Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
I've a feeling Garner doesn't re-sign in January if he's shoved in at RB in more than a small handful of games, in a world cup year.
I'd hate to think what our midfield would have looked like in that instance. You don't move your best performing and most consistent player.
A square peg at RB is bad, but still infinitely better than a midfield you could walk through.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
Even Merlin Rohl is capable of deputising at RB. He's previously filled in there in Germany. Absolutely no need for Moyes to keep throwing O'Brien under the bus at right back. He's a fucking Centre Half!

Everton and Manchester United have interest in El Hadji Malick Diouf

Hasn’t he signed a contract until 2030?Cods wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2026 2:02 pm I've a feeling Garner doesn't re-sign in January if he's shoved in at RB in more than a small handful of games, in a world cup year.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2026
If you put two decent full backs in our side instead of JOB and Myko, it would transform our team.
Imagine if you had Digne and Grealish down the left and then a similarly good RB with N’Diaye down the right. It’s just a complete game changer in terms of attack.
I am of the complete belief that if we get those sorted, then good things will follow next year.
