So we have a chance in getting lost prize money and legal fees back?

Would depend on how much it would cost us again in legal fees to get something back I suppose.

They could just give us 6 points now. Put us up to 11th and let us enjoy the rest of the season.

Hopefully.

As Lizz said, we shouldn't take this lying down and sweep it under the carpet, expose them rightfully for the corrupt bastards they are.

Everton should 100% jump into bed with Forest at this point and pursue the return of all costs associated with last season's points deductions from both clubs.
It's not just the loss of prize money from finishing lower in the PL table than we had actually earned, but also the millions of pounds in legal costs that almost bankrupted the club and left us having to rely on Wonga style loans from shady as fuck investors, such as 777 partners just to keep the lights on.
Add to that the fact that we have had to massively reduce costs to come into line with these rules, resulting in a fire sale of players on the cheap. Would we have let Richy go to Spurs for £60m if we didn't have to in order to balance the books. My gut feeling is no, we'd have held out for a bit more.

This whole affair could get really messy for the PL. What about mamagers who have ended up getting sacked because they've been hamstrung in the transfer market and therefore restricted in their ability to field the team of players that they would have ideally? Can they sue for reputational damages caused by bullshit regulations that were illegal in the first place?

It's not just Everton that their ruling affects. It's a whole number of clubs, who have played in the Premier League whilst these "illegal" rules have been in place. Any team that has suffered relegation could have a case that the "illegal" rules prevented them from staying up.

Richard Masters cannot be allowed to continue now, surely.

We should get money and points reimbursed.

Probably won’t, though, and the EPL would be opening pandora’s box and a big ol can of worms at once if they rolled over, so I would imagine they’d make it as messy and as drawn out as possible.

Given that we have Americans at the helm, and we know they love litigation, it would not surprise me if we sued the PL for costs to be reimbursed and prize money that would otherwise have been owed for a higher league finish.

Just very very lucky that we weren’t relegated.

I mean that article is all massive hyperbole

What would we be suing them for?

The PSR rules aren’t void. We broke them. We admitted we broke them

We could have hypothetically signed a dodgy sponsorship deal for more than we’re worth to get us under the limits, but did we have one lined up? It’s not like we had and then they said nope not allowed

Good clickbait though

Moyes saying we have a bill to pay in the summer and then things look a lot better with PSR after that. Couldn't really work out what that means... What's the bill? Once paid are we clear to spend or does that impact is for another year and then we're good?

Seemed to talk down our PSR position more than I was expecting tbh

Maybe not wanting to hype our soon to be decent (not fantastic) money situation as i bet he has his eye on a few players or started discussions....my read of that was that he meant the metaphorical 'bill' tgats needed sorting.
