About to set off for BMD, 2 3/4 hr train journey there, longer back, no way can I do that without small ruck sack, ipad, chargers, fleece, eats, hope no jobsworth on the turnstile.

You’re not allowed bags in but ten streets social are doing bag drop offs.

This is what it’s all been building up to isn’t it.

The first proper game. It’s going to feel so weird.

Once this is done with, all that build up and anticipation is over and eventually it just becomes the new normal.

It’s been some achievement to get to this point.

Just gone past on the boat and it's looking magnificent.

Awkward time to arrive though, too early to walk up to it but a bit late to make walking in to town first worth it too

I can't wait to go with my Dad in the next few weeks. My first game with him was in 1985, 40 years later we will be off to BMDHD Stadium.

Gutted to be missing today, will have to console myself with a Madri in the Ring of Bells, in Santa Eulalia.

Got two tickets for Mansfield, which I'm also missing. Willing to transfer to whoever wants them, would rather that than the seats be empty.

Fucking no idea when to leave or where to go

My lad got the last game at Goodison and so my daughter is getting the first here.
She doesn't really care though and is coming just for me - she's gonna be pissed off with all my indecision and flitting between places to place haha

Might just get there a few hours early. Find my stone then go and see what the bars are like in my part of the stand

Into mums in Aigburth for a late breakfast and then train into central and an easy walk to the ground. You know we’re moving up in the world when BBC 4 news gives you a mention.

Pretty much only blues on a half full train. Nice and relaxed start to the day.
