Re: Everton v Crystal Palace
If the first half is anything to go by, then Rohl isn’t the solution to our RB problem. Neither is Munoz.
Re: Everton v Crystal Palace
George has looked good though. Nice to see a decent winger on the ball with pace looking to take players on

In a way it’s his first assist to the assister for us, getting ahead of the data
Re: Everton v Crystal Palace
Both wingers have been great.
Poor overlapping fullbacks and a midfield with little defensive presence are the reasons we’ve been so ropey.

Re: Everton v Crystal Palace
We have a problem with Tarkowski not only being slow while running, but he is way to slow in his passing too and if he goes for the long pass we will loose the ball.
Mykolenko is making George less effective than what he could have been with a decent left back behind him
We desperately need a defensive midfielder that loves to work the park and tackle.
Armstrong needs to improve his first touch and he will be more effective
Despite doing some mistakes Rohl looks better than Munoz at right back today
How can Ndiaye be more effective with all those skills of him?
What to say about Barry? It's the same old story - when he gets his chances you can bet your life on him loosing control over his legs. Its like someone is electrocuting him.

Thing with him is sometimes he does something really good but he looks very clumsy at times. Doesn't seem to have developed a lot of game intelligence.

The xg tells you everything you need to know about this game. O.32 us to their 1.65.
Should definitely be losing, we have to improve massively this half

Re: Everton v Crystal Palace
I thought Rohl was majorly fine. We are just letting them stroll through centre of the park. Tark has been abysmal and the combo of Hackney and Armstrong has been quite porous.
Re: Everton v Crystal Palace
They've hit the post twice.
Still need to do better, glad we are winning.

There have been good moments, some playing ok…but wayward Palace finishing a great save feel the biggest reason we’re ahead.

And yet we are beating a European championship winning team.TrevorSteven wrote: ↑Sat Aug 22, 2026 3:00 pm We have a problem with Tarkowski not only being slow while running, but he is way to slow in his passing too and if he goes for the long pass we will loose the ball.

Not sure what we do on the second half to stem the tide through the centre. None of those midfielders can do the job.
