Pre-Season 2024
Re: Pre-Season 2024
I hope Roman Dixon gets a good loan this season rather than being stuck with us as a bench filler; looks to have something about him.
Re: Pre-Season 2024
Roman Dixon is just a cool sounding name too.
Didn't watch the game, got no desire to watch the highlights.
Sounds like Iroegbunam did OK.

Hard to be bothered. They've come off a brutal week of fitness training and I imagine the 'football' side of things only gets going a couple of weeks out. Team will look different on that first day too.
Would be lovely to win, score a few goals and send people home happy, of course. But ultimately, it's of no significance.

Doucoure, McNeil, Harrison, DCL...these are our better attacking players and they absolutely stink
Re: Pre-Season 2024
Of course it’s all about getting fitness into the legs but what’s the point of getting half a dozen kids match fit that won’t even be on the bench, so far nothing like the team we would want to put out in a couple of weeks has even had a run out ?
Re: Pre-Season 2024
Team will definately look different but that team will not have has a few games together.Jamokachi wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 9:12 pm Hard to be bothered. Because some players are carrying knocks, others have just signed and some are yet to return from international duties? Players' pre-season schedules are staggered depending on their circumstances.

Pretty poor from the new boy Tim on all three goals as well. Standing there marking nobody for the first whilst the crap CBs have to deal with 3 players, doesn't get near cutting out the cross for the second and doesn't track the run for the third.
At least he helped with the PSR!

I'm a long long long time DCL fan and I back him over 9/10 CFs in the league but goodness me.
Dwight I love dearly as a young man but he's at the peak of his career. When he is good he gains another gear and is one of the few players in this team able and willing to slide a ball, but when he is bad he looks like he can barely run.

Re: Pre-Season 2024
McNeil needs to come inside because last night showed how lacking in pace he is. His attributes can be better used in midfield because as a winger he's lead legs. If we had our usual defence last night they wouldn't have scored any of their goals. Beto has rubber shins so pointless expecting him to have back to goal, hold up striker. Not great but we haven't been for some time
