To be fair, if there was no Ukraine war, then Moshiri would have been able to provide even greater revenue. (But then spunked it up the wall with shite footballing decisions).

Who your owner is definitely does dictate this stuff. But you're right in saying it would increase regardless. It's to what degree that there is an argument.

I get that with a new stadium revenues will increase, but I don't expect us to be making deals like kitbag etc like we have done in the past. My point is we'll have more business savvy people at the helm who will go even further to maximise opportunities globally.

Just good having an owner who is legitimately rich.

A war in Eastern Europe breaks out and we go to shit because our “owner” can’t funnel his mates money through the club anymore.

Nice to be away from all that and have a legit billionaire on board.

I think his point was the difference that will be, compared to what we are used to.

I hope one of their first pieces of business is tearing up both the Stake and Castore deals. Let's go into the new stadium looking like a professional outfit, please.

Despite, random, personal preferences: stake and Castore register as the most adult commercial deals in that they represented the most dollar for the length of contact

Relief, with just the smallest pinch of optimism. The last 10-15 years have been a series of false dawns and horrible realities. The greatest manager ever, Martinez (!), the search for the perfect new owner, Moshiri (!!), offices in the Liver building, blue liverbirds, oh the joy, oh be so careful what you wish for, Allardyce, Benitez, Lampard. So much shite that we can genuinely look at Dyche as a Messiah. What the feck have we become?

So, here we go again. New owners, new stadium and very likely a soon to be new manager. My breath baited. Please, Everton, just for once, let’s not Everton this.

Ah to fuck with it, balls-in optimism it is.

Still no official announcement?
Not that I’m calling it as anything other than done, but seems odd

From todays paper

The Times has now reported that the Premier League has given its regulatory approval to the agreement made between Moshiri's Blue Heaven Holdings and the Friedkin Group, and the deal could be signed and announced over the course of the next week.

Nothing to announce until the deal is signed.

Yep I think some of us (me) were thinking the same was going through yesterday, when all that actually happened was they were approved as fit and proper people to own the club - now they have to do the deal.

That first sentence seems to suggest that there is some sort of inverted work out deal as part of the final settlement, I would imagine also that “future success” includes remaining in the PL this season.

Moshiri, it is understood, will receive some of his investment back, but the total amount will depend on Everton's future success.
The move will end his often controversial eight-year reign. Moshiri, 69, has spent more than £600mil-
lion on players and appointed seven managers: Ronald Koeman, Sam Allardyce, Marco Silva, Carlo Ancelotti, Rafa Benítez, Frank Lampard and Dyche.
But the takeover will also bring doubts over the futures of Dyche and sporting director Thelwell, as well as a number of players who are out of contract in the summer. Eight players on permanent deals and four on loan have contracts that expire in June, including Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Seamus Coleman and Michael Keane.
Before his side's trip to face Arsenal on Saturday, Dyche said he hoped that the uncertainty can provide extra motivation for his players.
“You could argue that if your contract is coming to an end, then that can add a bit of incentive, because if there is not a lot of noise about you then you need to create the noise,” Dyche said.

agreed on the stake sponsorship - embarrassing non league sponsor at best - i cringe everytime i see it
BUT
castore - no issue with them the kits are designed well and not too elaborate -
for example
look at the latest addidas shorts prem teams wear - what the fuck is that stripe all about? should be on a clowns costume at best
whereas castore have a simple stripe on the shorts - thats all u need

Just looking forward to having new people in charge and essentially a completely new slate with none of the old guard around.

Bring us back to the 21st century.

With regards to the sponsorship and kit deals that only really changes if we're successful, Moshiri, like TFG will take the best financial deal on the table. Stake and Castore both made the most financial sense, hence why they are there, if we want more prestigious deals then we need to be competing at the top, not relegation fodder we have been. But you then have to weigh up what that means, is a Nike/Adidas template that 90% of their lesser teams use, better than Castore, I dunno, its personal preference. I don't mind the kits this year, but wish we were still with Hummel, but I'd love to get rid of Stake
