Had this very conversation with my brother last night. How can pretty much every senior role within the club be replaced, commercial partnership changed, playing staff replaced, etc, and we still be as absolutely inept at every single thing we do?

It's essentially our DNA at this point.

Dunno, just know if other clubs have done it then it doesn't sound like a valid excuse tbh 🤷

I imagine they're looking to announce CMC as sponsor and release the shirt on the same day - it's likely the deal with Stake runs until the end of June, meaning they can't announce it until July.

AjaxAndy wrote: Mon Jun 22, 2026 2:43 pm Newcastle released their strip weeks ago, before they even had the new sponsor sorted, so was a sponsorless version.

They've now offered anyone who bought it for the new sponsor to be added free of charge.

Yet here we are without so much as a rumour or sneak peak to get us excited. Absolute amateur hour!
That's pretty good.

Would be a hard 'no we're good thanks', on that offer too.

Best of both worlds.

I'm sure there was an era of the late 90s/early 00s where you'd play the last home game of the season in your new kit.

Did i misremember that

for us it was more 80’s and 90’s.
Cup final in 95 we changed for that iirc, had NEC on it, then come the August, Danka.
