Wow, just read the new format for the draw, the 7 teams competing in Europe go in one pot so that none of them can be drawn against anther European competitor, so one ball comes out of the European bowl, at home, then from the second pot ball number 11.

So do the teams in Europe go into a separate pot.for every round now, or is it just for.the 3rd round? Giving the Champions League sides guaranteed home draws throughout the competition is bang out.of.order and takes away a.lot of the excitement of the draw. Part of the magic of the cup competitions has always been that chance that one of the minnows could potentially get a massive home tie, with them being at home bit of a leveller, shite pitch, tiny ground and a hostile.crowd and all that.
They are rapidly sucking the life out of our beautiful game...

Agreed , they haven't thought it fully through, don't know when the ties are played in conjunction with Europe, but most likely they all progress and you have the same situation.
