Lovely bit of PSR work from Villa there TBF. Just highlights again what a sliding doors moment this was for us: https://www.skysports.com/football/news ... tor-monchi

Dyche: "Alright Jordan or Jadon...whatever, you would be a crucial part of the team, on the wing you will be responsible for supporting Ashley and Myko so we are a solid impenetrable unit".

Philogenge: "Erm...oooh my phone's ringing, hi Kieran, yes deal, you don't need to include Ed Sheeran tickets, I'm coming down to Ipswich now."

We should be ahead of them, not lagging behind them. Shame about Moshiri being clueless and setting us back several years.
Bournemouth, ahead of selling Kerkez in the summer, have just signed his successor for like £6m. 2 years younger.

Had moshiri had A clue, or we had implemented a proper football strategy back then with the finances we had, we honestly could be anywhere now. A few years ago the thought of breaking the top 6 was as big an achievement as top 4 in the early 00s, now the league is fractured, with teams like villa, Newcastle, Brighton, forest apparently, Bournemouth, Fulham, Brentford, all looking ready to step into gaps.

Had we bought and sold well, we could be champions League regulars now.

I remember believing we had a real opportunity to close that gap if we implemented the DOF model with someone shrewd pulling the strings after we sacked Martinez. I also remember being totally convinced that Moshiri was going to commit to this (like a moron).

We opted to try to gate crash the top 4 like Chelsea or City without any mind being paid to the fact that those clubs pulled the ladder up behind them.

We can still catch up to all the clubs you mentioned but instead of being in the pole position to capitalize when the money clubs falter, we’re just one of many competing to step up.

Even Ipswich could have probably spent that better.
On present form I back them to stay up over us.

This seasons Luton for me.

Good in parts but not sustainable over 38 games for me.

Saying that neither is ours.

Was thinking Dyche would not be appealing for an attacking player and puts a real barrier in our bid to sign players this window.

You think we have £21m for a player... I think you might be surprised when we don't actually end up having £21m available for a player.

But he probably didn't even have to make that decision so your post makes no sense.

Romano quoted us as having bid for him so yeah there is evidence but you keep banging the dyche drum it’s plainly obvious any young player looking to play wouldn’t come here under him

Are you saying he doesn't fancy playing forward fullback?

Ill be amazed if the manager even comes into consideration, or if it does it comes massively below 'who will pay me the most.
Most players know they probably wont be playing for any manager for more than a couple of years, max, its proven that managers dont last.
