Re: The Rebuild
I get that Moyes is cautious by nature in terms of transfers but I don't recall him ever being in a situation where he only had 15 first team players 3 weeks out from the start of a season.
As we can see with Branthwaite, we are only an injury or two away from playing the break glass if required players or young lads who mainly aren't up to it.
Its not like we didn't know all this months ago.

Re: The Rebuild
Realistically we'll maybe get two more in before the start of the season.
This means we have 3 games to get though until deadline day, which is when we will probably do most of our business (3 or 4 in on that day IMHO).
Expect maybe 2 or 3 loans on the last day (potentially a last minute Jack Grealish, maybe a late deal for Jack Harrison). Recently around 25%ish of our deals usually get done on deadline day and while its not ideal, its probably how it will go down. At least we probably wont be selling apart from maybe Chermiti and Armstrong going out on loan.

Re: The Rebuild
Napoli want Kubo
Man Utd & Liverpool allegedly interested in Luiz
I am glad we take our time over these things

Re: The Rebuild
I doubt United and Liverpool are in for Luiz. Thats just agent talk to get clubs like us to pull our finger out.
Re: The Rebuild
We will be in for as many players as we can, and have no doubt been working on these deals for months
Can’t force anyone to come, unless we through stupid money at both them and the selling club which is exactly what got us in the shit before
We’ll be fine

Re: The Rebuild
The excitement now is completely and utterly gone. I know deep down we all knew it would be a bit of a tight one and need some fiddling, but it feels like it's going to be another extremely disappointing summer.
Imo we run a big risk here. New stadium dip + a half cooked half empty squad?
Think we'll see some veterans signing on soon...maybe some we know well.

Re: The Rebuild
To be fair (and I'm in full: this has been a terrible window and we've shat the bed mode). But players we would actually want are always going to string us along hoping for a bigger club.
Pretty standard MO for Moyes

If Baines gets a run out in the legends game then it can act like a trial.

Re: The Rebuild
Harrison nailed on to come back and if Doucoure hasn’t found a club by the end of the window he’ll be back as well.
I think the first red flag was us offering everyone who was leaving on a free a new contract.
Feel like this was an indication that they were not prepared.

Re: The Rebuild
I am back to hating the club.
Few weeks till season starts.
No players, shit 'squad', Keane re-signed, Harrison coming back, no transfers, no news about tickets on sale, no news about transport at the ground, no news about where the fuck to grab a bev, no branding/imagery inside the ground, 60 fucking quid membership costs but having to pay a tenner to watch utter shite pre season, again....no players signing. too cautious, too shite.
Relegated in 2 years, and in 10 years the ground sold.

Re: The Rebuild
They've got a lot to do to get us excited again. They better hope we have a good start to the season.
